    I have the same boost guage for my Volkswagen pushing 20 psi. Look at the bulb number in the back and get a LED replacement from eBay. I got blue to match my interior lights and it's brighter and nicer-looking. It's a cheap boost guage but I've used it 2 years without issue. It rattles a little over 15psi on 4-5 gear highway pulls. I have mine in a custom guage pod built for the top of my steering column.

    That gizmo is an accumulator. It stores oil at working pressure, then releases it at startup, and sounds like it does if oil pressure drops during driving as well. So it provides like a prelube at engine start. Big rigs use them. Nice add.

    You might also check your SC AW pump. Brammo wired them backwards @ the factory which at best caused low pump flow and at worse, air pockets in the AW circuit. I would also replace the fuel filter, trans fluid (Redline MT-90 is what I use) and complete a LOF using a premium synthetic (Redline 5-30). The front lower control arms use a serviceable ball joint that can/should be lubed. Like I noted on your prior video, you should look @ replacing the heims on the control arms (there are 6 total) with an extended shank unit. I even had new adjustment thimbles fabbed up from CroMo to ensure that the connection between the control arm and the spindle was not the weak link. I have pretty much done every serviceable upgrade to address every weak link in the Brammo Atom. If you need info, feel free to send me a PM. Again, best of luck w/your Atom

    Hello fellows. I really enjoy watching your videos. I have a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000R, it is the first motorcycle I ever bought new. I found a good deal one Province over from me in Alberta, I live in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and anyway the Suzuki Dealership in which in nearly bought a new "Old stock" 2015 GSX-S1000F---They had that bike on for $9,899.00 Canadian Dollars, which right now is $8464.30 American Dollars, one LARGE PROBLEM and one smaller one, that bike was Silver and I found the GSX-R1000R for $5,000.00 off the base/sticker Price. This was about a month after the financing had gone through for the lesser bike in my eyes, so wasn't sure how they may like hearing from me asking for a price match, well I called them said match the price I found and I will be down today to buy the bike, they not only matched the price but threw in the Suzuki 5 year Unlimited warranty that had just expired, (They did something with the date, giving me a 6 year warranty and a $1,000.00 Gas Card) The Base/Sticker Price for the GSX-R1000R was $21,899.00 and i got it for $16,899.000 with the warranty and Gas Card, Plus they threw in a Pair of Alpine Stars Gloves, they were about the $200.00 mark, the rear Seat Cowl and the true GSX-R1000 Cover another $200.00 for each of those Items. I am 52 and just won't buy what places have written down as the price. Even if it is saving a dollar, I have to or not buying it. I got that from my older brother, though could learn some tips watching your videos as well. Merry Christmas to you all. I wish you well, thanks for the video's and please keep it up. @@SethBergile I've actually never seen iridium not be the best choice for a FI car be it turbo, supercharger, and especially nitrous (platinum plugs with nitrous will destroy your valves like nobodys business). But I've only owned like a dozen higher performance FI vehicles (no Cobalt SS's yet, but I'd grab the newer turbo one over the SC one any day if the week) so maybe?

    To get an accurate max boost reading the car should be in 3rd gear. You were getting 11.5 psi in first or second it looked like. Speed vs load is still a factor on supercharged cars I think, but I could be wrong, Im a turbo guy.

      @tcroft2165 Před 5 lety

      Tbh its worse imo. Super light weight cars really need NA or supercharged engines. Turbos lag too much it spoils the fun. The US spec turbo versions of the atom delivered about the same as the (Global) supercharged versions anyway (stock)

    • @pumpkineater23
      @pumpkineater23 Před 5 lety

      @@tcroft2165 Are there any ways to reduce the turbo lag? Could this Atom be supercharged do you think, and what kind of power increase would be expected?

    • @tcroft2165
      @tcroft2165 Před 5 lety

      Atoms were supercharged from Atom 2, 3, 3.5(+r). In the US they went turbo in the 3.5R+RS iirc. The new 4 is Only Turbo.
      You can reduce the lag (which is small by normal car metrics but noticeable still) Lightweight cams, pistons, pulleys, drive/half shaft etc. You can also hide some of the lag with other upgrades. So lightweight wheels makes the car quicker to accelerate. Base engine upgrades help a bit as well. The 4 comes @ 320bhp but 350 with a tune.

    Thanks for the awesome videos of the Atom. I'm a diehard Atom lover and love any new content regarding these cars. So I have a 07 Atom that came with the cobalt motor and then I swapped almost 98% of all the original parts of the 2 with a 2016 3s(365hp rated; 500hp later this year). The only items that are left from the 2 are the frame and seat.
    The Brammo cars came in different stages that were identified by removing the ECU and flipping it over to reveal what stage it was. That is how I learned mine was a stage 2 after spending $1k for a stage 2 kit from ZZP performance. (So Sad that was).
    My 2 put down about 260rwhp.
    Oh, do you have your Slingshot still? I just noticed the video but have not viewed it yet. I would love to see a race of the Polaris and Atom.
    If you have any questions, I'll be glad to help out. I wished you were in Cali.
