Respectfully...gel in your locs is a no-no. Using the latch hook & crochet needle to tuck frizzy hair (if that's what the gel is for) is all that's necessary.
I used Gorilla snot on my edges when I first started my locs. My loctitian had to fight to get that residue out on my next retwist. The locs around my perimeter still have slight build up from that time. NEVER AGAIN!!! Gorilla snot is amazing on edges and I hope it works out for him, but for me, Gorilla snot is a NO NO for locs!
It is not the adhesive gorilla glue, this is the one that can be washed out. I am a professional and I have been using it for a long time and I do not have a problem with using it .
Try using African pride black Castro miracle hair gel, u can use it for twists braids and locs, just bought a day ago or two and just redone my twists yday or day ago and it works well n has a strong hold

I’ll say this before you do this on your entire test this method on damp locs start with one ☝🏾 loc only what didn’t work for me may work on another texture of hair 🙂.

Btw thats a latch hook not a crochete hook and gel and wax are a no no when crochete hook or latch hook is involved and wax should never be used to form a dreadlock

This is over a year now, and I don’t have that problem, is hair is all locked and growing, but like I said you cannot use a lot.
