    Awesome job guys it can definitely be tricky quoting jobs over the phone but luckily for me I kind of have that down to a science I actually don't do in person quotes unless they're close by or post Construction or big commercial. It comes down to ultimately setting standards and qualifying the customers and setting expectations I believe. I started doing over the phone quotes the beginning of this year and not have ran into any particular problems obviously some are under or over but pretty spot on-James

    Something else i do and noticed at the end of the video is mineral deposits and removal/notifying the customer.
    I always explain verbally when i walk around the property with them what mineral deposits are and the difference between them and regular dirt. I will put mineral deposit remover in my bucket but if it's still there and you would it removed afterwards it is a seperste price and service altogether because that's glass restoration and not a regular clean.

    I just got a Ledge Eze. I have been using Ettore Pro Grip previously. Do you know if the Ledge Eze's clamp is meant to be a LOT tighter than the Pro Grip? I mean I find with the Pro Grip i can just snap the channels in so quick and easy, but with the Ledge Eze i have to sort of pry open the clamp with the edge of the channel first before sliding it in (I have tried loosening the nuts but no different). I just wonder if I have received a faulty Ledge Eze or maybe that's just how it's meant to be.

    @AMindInOverdrive Před 4 lety

    Cleaning windows in the direct sun is a nightmare. Any time I've tried the water dries super quick and there are always streaks, then if you wipe with the cloth it almost sticks to the glass....horrible
    Also, I've researched scratches in glass and they can happen when you run a blade across toughened panes which are made in factories with bad quality control. When they cut the glass and minute shards from the cutting are baked onto the glass during the toughening process (e.g. not cleaned properly between cutting and baking) - Then when the blade is passed over the pane, those shards are dragged through the surface scratching it. Where I come from, glass panes over 2 metres squared must be toughened, and ALL door glass. Which is why you might usually notice scratches only on larger panes. There may be other causes, but that's what I found
    I've done post-construction cleans where there was concrete on the glass and a blade did no damage, but when I saw the stickers from certain glass companies, I knew to have poor quality, I'd always be cautious to tell the client that this glass will likely scratch if I run a blade across...and let them decide if they want to pay for the more time consuming concrete removal or live with scratches/concrete on their glass
    I'm no expert, just some of what I've experienced

    You guys are awesome. Thanks for sharing. I totally get anxiety pricing jobs. However all of my jobs are house cleaning vacation rentals. A client asked me to clean his windows inside and out. The windows do fold in so no ladder needed. However I am super nervous. He has 82 windows and 20 doors. I priced at 600 and he accepted. He said no ladders needed and he did not want us to use any. Any tips would be appreciated. Liked and subscribed. Also I already use dawn dish soap and clean microfiber towels. Once dried I buff them all. However this is an ocean front home. Yikes.
