  • Hello and welcome back to Train Sim World 2!
In this video we'll be taking a trip on the original UK route for Train Sim World! The Great Western Express route stretches the grand distance of London Paddington to Reading, with a driving time of approximately 30 minutes. The DLC comes with the Class 43 HST, the Class 165 Networker Turbo, and the Class 66 locomotive.
The Class 43 High Speed Train (HST) is our chariot today on a non stop service from Reading to London Paddington! Traffic is light (when is it never) and it's a nice easy run into the capital! Enjoy!

It's a shame to hear the new trains are having build quality problems, but yeah direct electric motors have a lot more torque, so they can accelerate faster than diesel vehicles.
You know, hearing about the seats, too, I've noticed the seating on some Intercity stuff in Europe seems to be fairly hard and cramped compared to ones in the US. I hope ours don't go that route as well. Planes sure are that way.

It was originally gonna be in the fgw era so that’s why they didn’t add 800s but FirstGroup wanted the green gWr livery.

What exactly is the issue with the Hitachi and CAF units right now? I find it interesting that those are having trouble while others like the stuff on Greater Anglia seem to be doing reasonably well.

Would be nice if they replaced the class 800 seats or added more padding
