I've been struggling to form a writing habit for as long as I've been a writer, so this is the month I'm finally going to do it. So zero drafts aren’t supposed to reach 40k??? I am confused.

Hi! Zero drafts are very loosely written drafts meant to help develop a story before a writer gets into fully drafting their novel. With NaNoWriMo, which is held during November, you normally have to write 50k words to win, but with Camp NaNoWriMo (held every year in April and July) you can set your own goal! So I set my goal to 10k words, since I’m just writing a very loose draft (zero draft) to figure out the plot of my story.
