Some operators understand load, then carry. And others seem to try to force their blade to load continously! Same with loader, scraper....! I worked with a guy who ran loader, he took 3 minutes against the pit wall, to get the Biggest bucket full ever! Then, because of rocks tumbling off and parts of his load sluffing off all the way to the Screen, he naturally could only make 2mph without beating his head against both doors! Not to mention the wear on tires, torque convertor, extra fuel burned!! Same rules with a dozer, respect the limits of your machine, act like you are the one Paying for parts and fuel!
Thank you for your comment, I had my older brother Jock running the D7 and he took it nice and easy without beating the machine and himself. I have watched a lot of operators run it hard all day long and at the end of the day struggle to walk to their pick up and not before long the mechanic is at their machine doing repairs.
US Army in the early 70s we had the D7E in our combat engineer company.
Looks good, nice job. The 7 runs nice eh. Bloody stones. Was Fred & Barney at work today too.
I didn’t see no Bronto crane😂
