The new Female Pileated Woodpecker :)

The new girl at the feeder, female Pileated Woodpecker! She is the one I filmed that was only eating on the ground. She has decided that the feeder isn't so scary now. She has been spending a lot of time on the platform today and doesn't seem to mind sharing with the others :) I think she is younger than the others. The most notable difference between her and the other female is her very visible white patch on her wings. The other female doesn't seem to have visible white feathers there. It's fun to see all of these amazing birds at the feeder! #birds #birdwatching #nature #wildlife #spring2024 #kalamazoo
