i wish i saw this, when i first farming catfish to lvl30, i try to leave my fate to the guide 100%, i got my reel to 1% first catch, i had to come back right away to repair
I just playing the game after the max drag update so i don't know about that. But I've always set my reel break to -1 bcs I noticed that if I set it to max it would damage my reel faster. Anyway thanks for the head-up!

@@B3GameBox awesome bro i bought the congo dlc and just struggling on that lake might buy the amazon dlc to rush levels there. Atm got a really nice end game casting setup thst i bought with end game coins i think it was the lvl 73 or lvl 72 rod and reel and then the bottom rods from the congo dlc so i might be able to fish at amazon i believe will have to recheck your video. Good luck on the rust content. I love that game too use to play it way back in the day😂

WARNING : This guide does not mention to anchor up before catching a Sturgeon, if you hook a Stuirgeon while anchored down like myself then expect a very very long fight and significant daamge to your gear. Always remember to Anchor up.... I think this is a must to mention in the video for us who have not used a boat.

I think the sturgeon kayak method has stopped working since the ocean update because the kayak physics have changed and you can't chase the fish like you used to.

No joke I hooked something that made my kayak jump way up in the air,so funny.
My suggestion for sturgeon with lower keepnet is i used 2/0 hooks so i was more likely to get fish in keeping range so i wasnt releasing money and so i wasnt fighting huge fish with low gear as much i was also rolling the time 1 hour every 2 fish and usually still getting 2 an hour
Did they update how bad full drag damages your reel? Cant just full drag the sturgeon on this set up or i have to repair every 3 fish.
For some reason my kayak is moving really slow when i hook up a sturgeon, im using the 20k kayak and big ali450 with hornet 4000
Because my kayak moving so slow it can’t catchup to the fish and i often have to let the fish go cuz I can’t reel it in 😢
funnily enough I managed to get from 30-34 with exactly 298 shiners while also filling up the net maxed with 4min left on the license which took a total of 13 days in game time. I've been following your guide since the beginning and I would say It's pretty much accurate with very minor error. Mind you since the update, you wont have to worry about them biting of your line since you will rarely be fighting unique (around >10 from the whole) fish would just hook off so you wouldn't lose or need to change any hooks and leaders.

I cant find the Big Alli 450 rod... theres only 13'10 SE with 94 baitcoins, 12'10 for 9000, big alli 13'10 for 9400 and 14'10 for 10700. which one is big alli 450?

i wanna thank you for being one of the clearest guidelines among all guides in yt for this particular game. i have a single question, im at lvl 31 at croix, my net usually full before the fast forward cooldown expires. do i just wait until the cooldown over, or use the baitcoins?
skipping time with baitcoins its a waste of baitcoins, I would wait but then again if the wait time is super long I would use baitcoin, but try to save them you can find a lot better use for them than skipping time that's for sure

im tryna get those pike int he same exact spot you were at but it takes like 20 minutes for one to bite and by the time the daytime peak is over my keepnet only got 3 fish in it any tips?
Fish 50 to 53 feet, or 15/16m. Use shiners or large minnows only. #4/0 or #6/0 hooks, and make sure you have a titanium leader.

Great video 👌 I'm on level 47 now and been grinding sturgeon for ages. Getting bored now. Anything else you can reccomend to farm money and xp at my level?
I would recommend fishing for salmon I have included the video at the end.. there is also bighead carp but you will need to buy match rods and you will never use them again so it's waste of money in my opinion as you can do same if not more farming sturgeon or salmon ... at level 50 you will unlock new bottom rods and rod stand for 4 rods as well as bigger net and spod rod that you will need for carp fishing... buying 5 new rods with all the gear will cost you fortune so if I was you I would go farm sturgeon and salmon until you reach level 50. salmon fishing is a lot more fun than sturgeon once you know all the times and locations, I did a long video while a go where you catch fish pretty much on every cast and despite the video being bit long and boring you can learn everything what you need to be successful there.. I honestly feel sorry for all of you that at this level range as there is nothing really you can do at this point.. you have to just suck it up and grind your way to 50 unfortunately 🤷♂️😭 here's the link for salmon farm czcams.com/video/Ad6esTg1tqE/video.html

Yeah you should upgrade it as soon as you can, you will only buy rods to farm sturgeons at level 50 you will be buying better bottom rods so buy something that’s ok to fish for sturgeon. At level 48 you can buy casting rod and go fishing for timen Mongolia so you will need new rod for 2 levels as well.
ok i did sturgeon till lvl 48 then i left and went to selenge doing taimen its really awesome, i just hit lvl 50 today, but i wish you'd do a new guide or something, cause im unsure what gear im gonna need if i go to blue crab at lvl 54 or when i need to buy a new keepnet, "im still using lvl 40 110lb fish 440lb net not sure if i need a net really. im also not sure what people say is best at blue crap tarpon or drum fishing, i'd love a lvl 50+ guide on tips what to do between 50-65 maybe i know some gear to get and not to get but im just wanting a clarification i guess.
At lvl 50 you pretty much need a whole new gear that includes keep net rod holder and 6 new rods 5 bottom ones and one spod rod for carp. after reaching lvl 54 at weeping willows you want to get one match rod and fish for drums with 4 bottom rods plus match rod for tarpon at blue crab, if you look for blue crab on my channel there’s a video there with all the markers that you need there. But i haven’t got one for wiping willows UK. I want to update this guide as so many people are asking for it, I will take couple days off from work and I will record it in next few weeks but as you are already lvl 50, try finding something on CZcams about lvl 50 carp fishing UK. Just don’t buy any carp rods for carp fishing it’s waste of money at this point as you will only stay there for 4 levels.

I hooked something that took my line all the way out to 550 ft. I fought it for 2 irl hours before losing it to low tension. If it was a unique it never bit my leader off

Its a really lazy mechanic they added to stop farming of strong end game fish like bullsharks with really under levelled gear, I suggest the bottom sniper 10 10 for sturgeon and pike

My reel is at 74% with 3 fish my reel and ur reel act different ur line and rod max out but mine doesnt my reel is the only one maxing out
you have to reduce the break on your reel or best upgrade ur setup, someone left a comment with rod recommendation, after the update they seem to wreck these rods very fast so im afraid it will be best if you upgrade and get new rod, i will update this guide soon, hope that helps

Dont know if updated or something but at Saint Croix is A PAIN to land the pikes if you dont have at least 20lb gear. I even saved to get new reels at the location shop but they dont sell feeder rods so im still struggling a lot with the 13lb rods

you will get better at it, try to pick up ur rod when you see slack line, and just keep swapping ur rods until you get all fish out, dont try to force it, take ur time

Keep it, later in game you will start doing missions some of them require lower level gear, and most times you will use low level setups to make it more fun. Try not to sell your gear except maybe fish nets as you upgrade them all the time but keep the rods and reels, if you have to, use baitcoins to increase your storage space💪💪

Years after the update they messed up big time, you need to upgrade your setup to something stronger, you will find more info in comments

Sure you can, buy something at level 30, whatever match or bottom rods these two works the same for pike. Pike don’t grow that big it’s pretty easy fishing.

this series is good but the only problem i had was until I got to the sturgeon, I was fighting all of them for over 30 minutes and the closest they would get is 30 feet, then take me out to the 100+ mark and rinse repeat, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but i have no more money since I didn't catch any and need to restart, (don't feel like an ass since it only took me 2 days to get here) I'm going to stick with pike until i get a better setup for sturgeon.
You can try to park closer to the markers but yeah it happens and you just need experience bro 💪💪 2 days that’s great result! Good job 👏💪💪😎

Im level 37 farming sturgeon in Cali if i was willing to spend money doesnt matter how much is there any faster way to level up through any of the dlc like the congo or should i just stick to cali?
If you spend money on dlc you will get access to the high level fisheries like Congo and you will level up a lot faster yes, Congo is the most popular when it comes to levels
For anyone wondering about the text that comes up saying “Fish was too strong, please upgrade your tackle”
Its a very lazy mechanic they put in to stop farming of fish with lower level gear.
Once it hits a hidden threshold of weight, it will decide that your gear is too low level for the fish you have hooked. This results in you losing the fish for no reason and you have to bring gear that corosponds to the weight of the fish you want to catch.
Its a shame the devs are incompetent when it comes to making the game have at least one way to make money and earn lots of xp outside of buying dlc packs.

You can use a bottom sniper 10 10 with the mega tank 6000 reel, #7/0 barbless hooks and large minows/ shiners

You need at least a 15kg rod to not get destroyed

Hi, new to the game and I was checking out your videos. Do you know if there's a way to mass repair all your items on console (ps5) like you do in the beginning of this video?
You can do this only when your gear is below certain % of health, when you leave the fishery it will ask you if you want to repair it. Other than that you have to move it to your home storage and do it there manually 🤷♂️ so No there’s no other way at the moment 😑

we use nights because we can skip time every two hours, during the day you will have to pay baitoins to forward time so its not worth it during the day. catch as many as you can and just skip to next night 💪💪

i get were farming for XP in this guide and trying to progress but im not so sure i trust going for sturgeon with these rods, i'd almost rather sell the rods we've used in the series and buy 2 feeder rods that i can actually pull in the pike and just farm here for awhile or if we only need 1 rod and reel for sturgeon fishing i'd sure love a rod and reel to save up for before going there because im currently lvl 32 and im up to 150K so i may be around 200K when i reach lvl 34 so i would like to upgrade rods also why are we keeping the lower rods and putting them in home? are we gonna need them later on or something.
Hi, i have a question. How is the game still fun and enjoyable if you only focus on grind skipping half of the fisheries?
You can always go back and do all the missions whenever you want, that’s not a problem at all, what is definitely not fun is when you are broke at lvl 20 and you have to catch bass at lone star lake because you can’t afford to go anywhere or buy anything lol the grind it’s actually pretty good and fun, if you like fishing though I really don’t mind. 😀🍀

Unfortunately is this strat due to the drag-change not possible anymore with this kind of gear... complete closing of the reelbreak will destroy your gear and hard breaking the reel will drain the durability of the weak gear and the repair costs eat up the fish rewards..

You can leave it as it is, and don’t change anything will work just fine
im trying the new setup u posted in the comments but its saying the terminal tackle is too weak and i keep losing the fish any advice?
@@eritrea7412so because people were catching strong fish with weak gear by using methods with boats, they added a really lazy mechanic where it will just make the fish let go if it decides that your gear is under levelled, I recommend the bottom sniper rod 10 10 for sturgeon farming as its a 33lb rod so You still have the xp bonus but theres a bit of a fight

Hey, i wanna try spot wih 4 rods, can u tell me with markers should i use? And 2 rods on same spot/marker its ok?
you can use all 4 on the same marker, that's not a problem any marker will do if you after sturgeon , cast 4 rods catch 2-4 fish re cast at different marker and repeat, if you are after pike you can use 1 same marker all day long 😁

No I wouldn’t recommend buying rods just to farm pike, you can later buy better rods for sturgeon and use it to farm pike as well 😅

barbless hooks give you more xp. the size difference is it goes down in size for #1 thru #10 and up for #10/0 thru #1/0

what times should be going fishing for pike? it seems i only get to fish for about 20 real life minutes before having to spend baitcoins to get to peak time again.
Mid day peak hours, it’s not as fast as catfish but it pays good it won’t be long before you get your 100k 💪💪
