In this Disneyland vlog, we head back to Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom (Disneyland Park), for a tour of the Fantasyland attractions, lunch at Golden Horseshoe and we stay to watch the new fireworks for the Disney100: Wondrous Journeys and Disneyland's Fantasmic.

Starting out our morning in our Disneyland Hotel room, we get ready for the day and I show you some of the magical clothes Zavvi gifted me. We then walk to Downtown Disney and board the monorail! The monorail runs from the end of Downtown Disney (opposite the LEGO store) into Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park.
Arriving in Disneyland, we walk through the Sleeping Beauty Castle walk-through attraction. Followed by riding Alice in Wonderland, before a walk from Fantasyland into Frontierland, for lunch at the Golden Horseshoe quick service restaurant. There we give you our review and share how much it costs to eat in Disneyland's Golden Horseshoe.
Venturing back into Fantasyland, we ride The Matterhorn Bobsleds with a Genie+ Lightning Lane return time, Snow White's Enchanted Wish with a 20 minute wait and Peter Pan's Flight. It's then into Tomorrowland where we meet Darth Vader from Star Wars, and ride Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (newly refurbished). After that, we were pretty beat. So we take the monorail back to the Disneyland Hotel and rest for the afternoon.
For dinner, we eat at Goofy's Kitchen. This is a character dining buffet, and in the video we tell you how much it cost, and share our full review of the dining experience and whether we thought it was value for money. We then walk back to Disneyland to see their new nighttime spectacular for the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company: Wondrous Journeys. We camp out to get the best view we could, and share a front facing overview of the show.
It's then with the rush of the salmon to Frontierland, to catch the 10:30pm showing of Fantasmic! A little different from Walt Disney World, this is mainly standing only space, and requires some forward planning to be able to get a good view. We share our thoughts on both shows, before making our way back to the Disneyland Hotel and calling it a day.

Fun fact: Rancho del Zocalo was originally called Casa de Fritos where there was a vending machine with the Frito Kid that you could get a bag of Frito's sent down a chute. Even better, Doritos were invented at the Casa de Fritos. The restaurant had tortillas that were going to stale, so they cut them into triangles, fried them, added taco seasoning, and voila Doritos were born.

Agreed that Goofy’s Kitchen is not worth the price. Last month, we did the character breakfast at Plaza Inn in Disneyland for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! It’s $41 for adults and while the buffet is smaller, there’s a lot more character interaction and the atmosphere is better.
I haven’t cried this much watching a fireworks show on my phone screen since the last showing of Happily Ever After before the 50th celebrations took over 😭❤️
Your review of Goofy's Kitchen is on par with what I've heard from many many other people. I feel like the buffets in Disneyland are a miss, and you're better off doing quick service or table service dining. I love that you're honest with your reviews, even when the experiences aren't good. You don't mince your words!
Not all the buffets….but I do agree with Goofys kitchen. The brunch time buffet there is so much better tho👍🏼
You can adventure with Adam and Gary C for their journey to 100 celebration at Disneyland to share their fun magical day as a view myself. I am looking forward to more fun facts and excitement and the screaming of Adam and the laughter with them both. There are no drama vlogs here or fighting. They're enlightened to watch them. @@garycI'm sure it was very greasy and seemed like something easy enough to do when in a hurry we often don't look at labels so to speak, but the look on your face and the genuine laughs the two of you have. I would NEVER have let you eat at Goofys Kitchen! So many good places in Downtown! Killing me that you were there and I live 30 min away and you 2 are my absolute favs! Would have loved to meet you!!! Hugs x 2!!!
So many people in the comments are saying Goofy’s Kitchen is rough! I’m glad we tried vit though - if only to meet Chef Goofy. Hopefully other people will learn from us!

So I'm sat here watching this at home. Within the span of minutes I go from laughing because of Gary to Crying over a video of a fireworkshow and my mom asked 'what's happened 'I said it's the Disney fireworks'. She's now looking at me as if I come from another planet...

When I was in Disneyland in December( a long time ago now), I had on a t-shirt and someone came up to me and asked, "Are you Canadian, because only the Canadians wear no coats in December in California." Yes, I am from Canada. You wearing a coat reminded me of that. Great video as always. Thank you Gary and Adam.
That fireworks show had me crying tears of wonderment, sorrow heartbreak but ending in joy and happiness.

Oof. When I heard you’re gonna dine at Goofy’s Kitchen, I already knew what you’d say. Disneyland does SO many things right. Unfortunately, that is one of its misses. Everything you said was exactly how I felt when I dined there the one and only time. BUT the mashup of want songs during the fireworks is one of THE best things I’ve experienced for a nighttime spectacular EVER! 😭

We did Goofy's kitchen in November 2021, just after they opened up to the UK and also rated it so low! We did the breakfast and it was about the same cost - so expensive for what it is!
Wow, just wow. Disneyland was my first visit in 1975. Your vlog was awesome. The fireworks made me cry...happy tears. Thanks for your enthusiasm and honesty and for bringing the mouse to us. You and Gary literally make my day!

I totally agree with you about Goofy’s kitchen! 10-15 years ago it was amazing! There were characters you don’t always see. We met The Fairy Godmother and Baloo there. When they changed it to the Fab 5, it went downhill in my opinion
When it comes to character dining I prefer Storytellers Cafe in Disney's Grand Californian. Love this series cant wait for more!
And the food is better.
I broke down at the Treasure Planet/Big Hero 6 part. They never get nearly enough love in my opinion. Especially Treasure Planet. That show was extraordinary.

Watching this was amazing watching the world of colour show and the fireworks I was crying and I wasn’t even there. Just goes to show how strong the magic is. Even watching it on your phones you still get lost in the magic. Disney will always be my favourite thing in the entire world. It truly, truly makes me happy.
When I was Cast… Fantasmic was one of the shows I was at regularly besides Tomorrowland. It made me immediately tear up to hear even just the first few notes of that opening. Well done Adam and Gary C .. so so happy you were able to see those shows!! Lots of love from TN. ❤

I ate there a few years ago, when the prices were much lower, and the food wasn't great then, either.
But, back then, the character interaction was much better. As they've cut back on that, I really don't see any reason to go.

Totally agree about googys kitchen. We've done all the disneyland character dining and it's definitely the worst. Back 10 years ago it was very good!

There’s SO much history at the Golden Horse shoe. They used to host a star studded Cabaret there in the 50s. AND on opening day, I’m pretty sure they all celebrated there and Walt Disney himself famously climbed down from one of the boxes opposite you guys and onto the stage!
I confess to missing the premiers on Sunday's, your my 'watch while eating a roast' tradition when ever you have a new series lol. I just love the fact that you can walk around and stand in the very same places as Uncle Walt once did...Believe it or not, you used to be able to walk up to the gate and buy a ticket and just go in (1980s)...it's a different world, I know.

Hello Adam , Steakhouse 55 is an OG Restaurant of the Disneyland Hotel, it was an amazing restaurant.
A lot of Hollywood Elites from the 50’s onwards, dinned at the Disneyland Hotel. I was sad 😢when it closed.

@@adamhattan They have not disclosed what will be replacing it. It’s a work in progress. Fun fact, the steakhouse at the contemporary, is an omage to Steakhouse 55 , and I believe the menu is said to have similarities.

My family has a Cobblestone, Disneyland is not far from Las Vegas so I've always gone since I can remember.
I'm going to Disneyland in June. The fireworks & Fantasmic is a must do on my list now.

You can see the fireworks better in the storybook boats too. They stop the tour to watch the fireworks
That firework show gives me chills. It's right up there with Happily ever after for me.
My advice for thr next disneyland trip. Don't go go the Charaer dining during dinner. Go during breakfast or lunch in my opinion. After having 3 girls, it can be a hassle and noise level is above the roof. I love going to storytellers Cafe in disney grand Californian. Food is great and price is the same as goofy's kitchen.

Just so you can let Zavvi know … I didn’t know about their website until this vlog and now they are getting a “treat yourself” large purchase from their Aussie store (to New Zealand).
Golden Horseshoe is where Walt used to dine a lot and entertain guests. He and Lillian even celebrated their anniversary there, possibly before the park officially opened, but I'm not entirely sure. Although overall we prefer WDW to DL (we enjoy staying in the Disney bubble as much as possible, which is hard to do in DL) actually seeing things or being in places Walt was, was incredible. Loving the series and can't wait to see where your next adventure is.

Thank you for reviewing the buffet. We will avoid it in May and spend the money else where. I am now so excited for the fireworks!!!! My MIL and I are the only ones out of our group of 16 who love them. So it’s nice to see hear others appreciate them (and cry) too ❤

Matterhorn was last Rollercoaster my father in law went on at 75 yrs old.

I just got all the goosebumps from those fireworks!!! Immortals is one of my favourite songs and you hardly ever hear it, and the Moana music just always gets me. Nearly crying on my couch here, I might have some issues 😂

Goofys Kitchen breakfast is good but that’s about it. Storytellers is the place for character dining and the food is great!

Very interesting to hear about your experience at Goofy's Kitchen - we had a similar experience at Storyteller's Cafe, so much so that I didn't leave a tip which I felt awful about but we too only saw our server once, and felt the food was limited in choice and average at best. We felt the service and food was a let down after amazing experiences at WDW.
Breakfast is way better at Goofy’s Kitchen. A little quieter too. BTW your vlogs are amazing! My husband and I look forward to watching them. The energy you and Gary have with the camera is awesome! Please keep entertaining us. ❤
The Character dining for breakfast at plaza inn is really good! And some of the characters you see you don't see them in the parks any more or rarely!

Alice In Wonderland is one of my go-to rides at Disneyland. Just brings back memories and is really cool for what it is.
