ABOUT ME
I’m Ayana, the owner of AUMIA, a small jewellery business based in Western Sydney, Australia. During lockdown, I decided to start an online business and launched in September 2020. I started documenting my journey on TikTok and have grown an amazing community of 40k+ followers. I decided to start a CZcams channel to share more business tips to help other small business owners & share my journey of trying reach my goal of making $100k in sales in my first year of business (I have since reached this goal - yay!) I really hope that my videos can encourage others to chase their dreams while showing the real highs & lows of business.

Hey gorgeous, just wondering if you’ve made a video on finding vendors. I’m finding this part to be the most exhausting in my process towards my own jewellery business ! 😣
Realistically, what would you suggest someone have as a budget to get set-up and start an eCommerce business; such as selling jewelry, or makeup, skincare, etc.?
If you have a small budget always start small, try not to get excited or over whelmed trying to launch with 50 things at once, it all adds up. Research what is people are liking at the time and use that to build revenue to expand and get more unique items, every market is saturated just differentiate yourself, solve a problem and focus on great customer journey. Try and spend less then what you make. Add your overheads together ie product, packaging, delivery, discounts, website subscriptions, intial expenses etc add a then devide it by how many products you have and that's what you'll make per product sold that way you can cover your expenses and make a profit. At the start (first 6 months) try not to spend all your profits on personal wants just re-invest profits to grow your business. Marketing at the start can be done for free through tip top and Instagram with behind the scenes, product sneak peaks etc. The work and patients you put in to your business reflects how much it will flourish. I completely agree with Christine’s reply! Definitely start small & reinvest your profits to slowly expand. I started with about $5k including inventory, packaging, all the subscriptions etc but you can definitely start with less! 🥰
