I feel like my enemies tend to get recognized for valor, while mine struggle to get by. I thought I had 1 medal of honor in the series, too. I might have to go check and see what I find. Either I saw 1, or I felt like someone should have got 1 but didn't. Can't remember which now 🤣
Ya know, I was in the same boat as a kid back then, too. I remember many times I figured I simply had to overwhelm and annihilate everything and I'd start off strong, then because of the early meat-grinder, I'd have too weak of forces mid campaign. It took a while to realize there was a method to the madness in maneuvering, getting them to waste their ammo, sinking their morale, etc. I probably couldn't get past the first 5-7 battles for a solid year.
No idea why this popped up, I'm not really into gaming anymore. But I remember playing the first version somewhere around mid-90's. A fun game for a kid, who where drawn towards ww2 history. I usually got beat up, though.
I'm glad the video found you and you could reminisce! I was the same way as a kid, and I loved it. It definitely has a learning curve, and I spent a good deal of time just throwing men into the meat grinder!
I used to have this game back in the 90s. I absolutely loved this game. Where can I get this game again? I don't think Steam offers it, but I haven't checked in several years. Also, what OS are you using, Win 7, 10, or 11? How did you get it to run? Thanks for any info you can provide.
I have great news for you. This is from Steam, running on windows 11. I just updated to 11 from 10 and it ran perfect there too. It's $6 on steam or get the classic collection of games 1-5 for $25!
@@RubberDucky087 Quick question for you Ducky. I bought the steam version of CC2. Is there a hack to increase the resolution? In the old days, you could regedit the resolution. My system allows 3440 x 1440p, but CC2 is maxxed at 1080p. I would like to play the game at the greater resolution.
@JV44HeinzBar go to CC in your steam library. Right-click on it, manage, browse local files, and then look for the CC2 icon listed as configuration settings under type. There's 2, one is the icon, and the other is the notepad doc. It has vertical and horizontal values you can manually enter. As ScreenX and ScreenY. Give that a try!
That's impressive that you were still able to pull off a victory after a start like that
I think this is the first time I've seen the game award a VC to someone.... that's insane!
