Very cool. You prefer nomenclature of octave mandola to mandocello? I just converted one of my tenor banjos to cello tuning.

I would call it an octave mandolin, but the company calls it an octave Mandola, even though it’s G-D-A-E… so I’m not sure what is most correct.
