Thank you. Very helpful tutorial for mixing greens.💚
You’re welcome 😊
This is one of the most helpful videos I have seen on color mixing - especially greens. Thanks so much!
I am so glad this was helpful! Thank you!
Thank you Karen . As a real beginner I’ve learnt so much about mixing. I also appreciate the way you indicate substitute colours.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you Mark 😀
Outstanding!
Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Greens are hard for me. I tend to buy lots of them and use them directly from the tube. This was very helpful. I also like that you list substitutes....as nothing is more frustrating than not having the same color as the instructor and then having to decide which color you have that would be an ok substitute. Love your videos. They have taught me a lot.
I am so pleased you found this helpful, especially the alternative colours. Thank you Cindy 😊
Thank you, very useful tutorial! Would like to see other colors mixes.
Thank you and glad you found it useful 😊

Thank you so much 😀
I love color mixing it is so fun and fascinating. I like to do color mix swatches just to take a break when I don't know what to paint or when I need inspiration, or whenever I buy a new color to see the range of color that I can get out of it. I have learned so much from you and also Jane Blundell's blog.
Thanks for your lovely comment Lisa! So pleased you like colour mixing and it is such a good idea to paint swatches to understand colours more and for inspiration. So pleased you have learnt so much from the tutorials! PS I love Jane Blundell's blog!! 😊

Yay! That’s what I think :-)
Thank you for this very informativ video. It is so much helpfull for me, as a beginner. Please, can you say me: can I mix the color Quinacridone Gold? I don't have this color in my palette.
Thank you so much... Great question btw, you could use Yellow Ochre or Raw Sienna as a substitute and add a touch of Burnt Sienna. Hope this was helpful 😊
Fabulous mixing, thanks! Do you use just one sketch book for your mixing samples! I want to get more organized with my colour mixing so I have a quick reference in one place. 😊
Thanks so much Jan. I use several sketchbooks to colour mix. However if you are starting out I would suggest using the one sketchbook to start off with as you say to have a quick reference guide. Have fun colour mixing 😀
Do you mix the shadows of the trees with the same colors darker or do you also use a contrasting color for them?
Are usually use a little bit more of the darker colour, for instance, the blue.
If I’m using Green I’ll add possibly a little bit more blue or some Paynes Grey. Hope this is helpful :-)
I don’t have a Quinacridone gold . What color can I use Instead?
Thank you 🙏 🙏🙏🙏
You could use Raw Sienna 😀
what shade of yellow are you using in the video for mixing greens.
Hi Karen, I was using Cad Yellow... all of the colours and colour alternatives can be found in the description... just click MORE 😊
Tks but what is a good substitute for that gold
Thanks… Raw Sienna ‘mixed with a touch of Burnt Sienna 😊
Sorry Karen would it be possible to do a video on mixing black please, no hurry in your own time
