My only issue with new kisshu is that he's not as vulnerable as the old kisshu. The old kisshu would give empty threats to ichigo about killing her but never actually went through with it. Its proven ep 1 sub and in the others. Even though his idea of love was messed up he somewhat truly cared for ichigo he was just conflicted being her enemy and didn't know how to express his love. Not to mention that ichigo asked blue night to spare him in the last episode and he didn't even thank her in this one
I completely agree! I feel like though (especially with episode 8) that if they had this reboot have 52 episodes like the originally, we could have seen Kisshu more and therefore see this soft side develop more. But a lot of the time he felt like he was barely there. UGHHHH

I think the reason why most of the fandom (myself included) like Kisshu more than Aoyama-kun is because even though Kisshu is an “alien” he feels much more “human” than Aoyama, because Aoyama is the ideal anime boyfriend while Kisshu is tridimensional and has his own flaws

@@DhavidSetiawanKilluaDhavid yeah i did, and.. *warning, spoilers:* ...i was a little disappointed :( they gave him this moment with Ichigo when he cries, which is actually a little changing point in the Manga, and now they turned that around and yet again made him look like a creep, like being psycho his only character trait (which is not!)... i mean i get it, they needed a reason for Blue Knight to appear, but still... i'm still craving for his redemption and reaaaaally hope they don't f*ck up what is about to come with him 😞 he deserves better!

When I watched this episode I was so hyped. It took part from the original show and manage for this episode. Which I love. I just wish there was more with just Ichigo and Kish or even a whole episode with just those two.
agreed! Compared to the original, I think this reboot lacks time with just them fighting.
It is lack but I think if they had them trap somewhere giving her time to see his other sides and maybe start developing feelings for him. At least that's what I hope for.

The most annoying thing in Aoyama-kun for me is how ideal he is, he is just so perfect it´s annoying and he´s got more personality now but I simply can´t ship Ichigo with him, maybe if there was a moment in the anime where he really messed up and got Ichigo angry at him or if he had doubts about wanting to be with her or not then it would be okay but he is madly in love with her and is a perfect gentleman from the start, I think that´s why most of the fandom (myself included) like Kisshu better because he may be an "alien" but he feels more "human" than Aoyama because of his flaws
To be sincere I was dissapointed, I thought that it will be development for the Ichigo's character finally. In the advances of the last chapter they (writters) promised an Ichigo questioning what she wants to do and her role about mew mew, similar to the other mew mews... But not, she was concerned about not dating Aoyama, or agreeing everything that he wants for his future and copying it, I wanted to know what she truly wants to do by her own... For this chapter, the main character was Aoyama, not her.
In other hand, I always love the interaction of the aliens when Kisshu is hurt. They always protects and care about him.
witth further thought, I think I have to agree with you. She did a lot of questioning herself through this season but I don't think this episode fully went into her confusion about what she really wants to do. I think it makes sense for her to want do something to help the earth, considering she's a Mew Mew and I think that influence would naturally do that, but at the same time, you'd think she'd have something else she wanted prior to Aoyama and the Mew Mews?

@@theleafactor Yeah, I mean, Minto wants to work in the environmental design industry, support her family; Pudding wants to become an acrobatic artist and follow the steps of her parents that she admires; Zakuro is working in her career and being more open; we don't know what Lettuce wants for her future, but we saw how she becomes more brave and determinated... I don't know, I was expecting something like that for her finally, something outside of her relationship, she is more than that. I feel that every chapter focused in Ichigo, Aoyama is the main character.
And obviously, I would be delighted to watch that video. 🙂
