The whole incident is another reminder that Marine is the absolute worst in taking care of herself. Imagine waking up with muscle aches and generally feeling terrible, but still going to work despite not needing to and being told not to by hundreds of other people. Still love her, though, and I hope she now knows the difference between illness-induced muscle aches and sores from working out.

It's funny because of how absolutely warped her definition is. Last year she was working herself ragged that it seemed like karoshi from a viewer perspective and the only thing that stopped her was literally a pollen attack. I think the general gist of the stream before she took off was something like her complaining about sneezing and coughing, someone asked if it was allergies, she said it might be, and then the day after she got deleted by hayfever.

A number of Hololivers have outright mentioned Covid here or there in passing. I think they just try to distract their viewers from the stressful reality by not bringing it up. Everyone’s exhausted from the pandemic so it’s understandable
The most memorable one to me was where Coco mentioned going to a fancy restaurant with Kanatan and Suisei dressed like slobs, but the restaurant must have been desperate enough to take them due to Covid killing business.

I've heard only about Japan cases when people died during work from being extremely tired. These are really hard working people and what Senchou was doing could be very dangerous. I am really glad Kanata helped her so much and that hololive members take care of each other more than a family sometimes. Grace to you for clipping this, it sets more than a lesson here but life advices. Be like Kanata and work hard like Marine, but know when to stop, don't overdo yourself. Take care everyone!
It happens a lot on Japan, yes, but overwork that leads to hospitalization or death happens all the time around the world. Like Naughty Dog devs that were forced to crunch for crazy hours several were hospitalized. It's just a capitalism problem in general.

We heard from a certain Holo member that managers handle about 4 to 5 members each. He's not hired to be her butler, and is probably ordered to not meddle into her private life. Also, he might just not have experience with handling medical emergencies during this period. So let's not be too harsh that he isn't volunteering to go to Marine's home to make her porridge or drive her to a clinic. She has friends and family to depend on, it's not like she's helpless. Remember, the Holo managers don't even wake oversleeping talents. He's within the boundary.

This entire thing sounds like a classic case of overtraining, inadequate rest and subsequently hitting a brick wall. She really overdid it in the Ring Fit Adventure stream. It worries me because I've seen other Vtubers do the same, for the sake of "good content". And yeah, sure, the moans and audible agony are funny, but only to a certain extent. Some of them were really pushing far beyond what should have been their limits.
Its probably because of Covid that the doctors refuses to check. Japan's Covid-handling is..... very less-than-stellar. In my area, if I so much says I got sneeze or runny nose to doctor, I will get swab-test and need to self-isolate for 3-days.
