I think Sega released a game which was a collection of Genesis games, but it didn't have an opening as big and as memorable as this opening. Also, in my opinion, this opening reminds me of the Animaniacs opening combined with The Muppets theme song.

Easily Rare's best game since their days with Nintendo! It doesn't get much better than this! This game is the very reason why I got an Xbox One, and I'm glad I did!

Well, there are plenty of other great games that are also Xbox One exclusive like Ori and the Blind Forest.
6 years later, and this opening is still amazing. Rare did a sensational job.

@@tsarmikislav938 But grabbed by the goulies and Kameo were actually GameCube games Ported to Xbox, and Perfect dark zero was similar, but they only kept the name and changed the game.
The only post Nintendo era games would be the Viva Piñata games (Even tho there's a Viva piñata game on DS) JepPac refueled and Banjo Kazooie N&B

Now since both Microsoft and Nintendo are buddy buddy, I think Rare Replay should get an updated re-release for Nintendo Switch, Xbox X/S and Steam.

This a great collection for anyone who grew up on Rare games. I'm glad they got most of their N64 titles on here, which IMO are their very best work.

This may be the first time in years I've said to myself "No, we don't skip the intro".
This is such a quality compliation. I have poured hours into this. I absolutely love it. I love hearing how the games were made in the clips and I love how fluid and well made the menus and everything are. It doesn't just feel like cheap emulation. It feels like a high quality collection celebration of their classic titles.
They really put a lot of heart into this. It's pretty awesome
Just bought this on sale recently and fell in love with this opening intro. There's so much charm and love packed into this compilation!

Man this is one of the best intros I've ever seen to a "game" in a while, I know it's a collection but still. Legitimately made me shed tears when the final verse came through. 30 years of giving the world beloved games. Congrats Rare, this is my first time playing any rare game and I can't wait! I'm glad they put in subtitles because I was having trouble understanding what was being sung. But the cinematics and sequence was awesome!

I personally like the "It's a Rare Replay but don't dismay if you've played through these games before,oh we guarantee there's more to see, a pass first class to featurettes galore." part because before Rare Replay came I had played through Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Blast Corps. and Kameo Elements of Power before. I wonder who else likes the part i do.

I just got this game and I love I can play conker and perfect dark again as well as play games I haven’t ever played again.

Simply an amazing memory when I was younger (I’m a teen now) I was 65 when it came out and my dad bought it for me so glad her did Banjo and kazooi, nuts, and bolts, Conkers bad fur day, grabbed by the ghoulies and the demolition game were my top four favourites
This games the ONLY good move Microsoft has made with Rare since they unfortunately acquired them
agree,the restruckturing is unesesery,the kinect invest was a flop,and the games made were ok but nowhere near the quality in the snes and n64 days

Nintendo only owned half of rare, and microsoft bought the other half, so it made sense for Nintendo to sell their share

Still quite good but I am more into the games themselves.
Also while the game is called RARE Replay and that these are the 30 RARE games over the past 30 years, there are more games that RARE has made such as Donkey Kong Country series, GoldenEye, Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong Country 64 and Dinosaur Planet that became StarFox Adventures.
But due to Intellectual Property reasons because James Bond is owned by Activision while Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong and StarFox are owned by Nintendo, there is no choice other than to be lucky enough to own those games on their original systems or to emulate to play those games again.
Also the Donkey Kong Country series used to be available on the Nintendo's Virtual Console but were taken off when the 10 year contract ended. At least that was from my knowledge.
As a long time RARE fan who remembers the games from the SNES and N64 era, I am happy to see this collection of some of the best RARE games including the ones from back in the Ultimate Play the Game era that I would never have known about if not from the RETRO Gamer magazine.
And considering I am getting older and can't get the recent consoles, I can happy to be able to view other people playing these classic RARE games on youtube.
Some of the games I was happy to see included here are Conker's Bad Fur Day and Jet Force Gemini that were my fav games from RARE outside of their obvious ones that can't be in this collection due to reasons stated above.
If only this collection of games had appeared back 5 years ago on the XBox 360 then I would have been able to buy it. Oh well.

In the 30 years of Rare, you will find their first 15 years were astonishing. The next 15 saw them turn from gold to crap.
Still, get this game. You will wonder, 'Why the hell don't we get this in games now?'.

Just picked up an Xbox One with this game! Being a lifelong retro Nintendo fan, this is the one Xbox One game (Well, compilation.) I've always been jealous of. Stop 'N' Swop here I come!

Nice seasonal variation. Do you know what would make it even better? If Rare/Microsoft released an HD digital release of Conker Live and Reloaded for Rare Replay. It would also be nice to have it fixed to run perfectly, without any of the emulation errors that would occur when playing it on an Xbox 360, like the rainbow dust clouds, out of sync/muted sound clips, and random crashes.
+SpongicX I can't stand that game. The N64 version was better in every way. I have no idea how they could mess up an already good game so badly. And yes I still own Live & Reloaded. I recommenced anyone to play it so they could experience what I mean but do not buy it.
MASF Reload I loved both. I didn't find the same issues other gamers had with it's remake. My only complaint was the lack of facial expressions, and the stiff controls on Fangy the Raptor. but I loved the game's visuals, and I loved how they restructured many of the game moments that were too tricky on N64, like the zombie shooting, and war segments.
It's backwards compatible now!

Some people don't like Kinect Sports... but its amazing. I play this every day, the 1 and Season Two, and the first game that I'm going to have when I buy a Xbox One will be the Kinect Sports Rivals. Thank you Rare, and congratulations from Brazil. :D
