why would you even bother learning pc rust, its completely different than console, and a much higher skill ceiling, even when you learn pc rust you'll still have to fight against people who have thousands of hours, even if they are bad gamers they will still win the fight. unless you are free every single day of the week for 10+ hours, and plan on streaming it full time i wouldn't play pc rust dude. learning solo rust in 2024 is impossible

I would recommend not going out with shotguns every time. Like u had rows of hqm u could craft thompsons or something. And as a fellow rust player I would recommend a "beginner" to love next to harbor or something small monument. U have recycle there (not too contested) u can hit barrels and refine crude to lowgrade. Pretty easy monument. Dont be afraid of losing your weapons, altough would recommend leaving at least 1 or 2 bigger guns ( ak,m2) to leave in the base incase of a raid defense. And watch a base tutorial how to build BUNKER BASES. They gonna save you i would say 75% of the times. Since your a solo you dont need to build 2x2s with shell and stuff. 1x1 of something similar is much better you just have to expend it well. As i said look for a video. I would say you can learn the whole game in about 400 hours. After that the mechanics and refining of those informations and mechanincs gonna decide the pvp.
And I would recommend some settings. For startup settings : -high -gc.buffer 4096 -headlerp_inertia 1000 -graphics.branding 0 -effects.maxgibs -1 -window-mode exclusive -rate 144 -client.headlerp 10 -player.eye_blinking false -player.eye_movement false -window_mode exclusive If you dont have 32 gb ram and u have only 16 then gc.buffer should be only 2048 and I would recommend changing your resolution. Of course most people play in native but almost every good player plays in stretched. I would recommend 1440x1080 or 1150x1080 Theres hella tutorials how to play stretched in 2024. You have to do something in your graphics card program either amd or nvidia.
What’s your pc specs mate? I was having lag issues too and upgraded my ram and now runs perfectly. I’m a console rust player that moved to pc too and I’m still not great either lol. I’d be up for an alliance for a wipe sometime
For reference I went from console to pc many years ago after the majority of my childhood only being on console. There is a definite learning curve to pc but it is mostly just muscle/ mechanical memory you have to build. It took me about 6 months to get comfortable about a year to get good. And after 2 years I feel one with the mouse and keyboard. Keep in mind I only played a few hours every weekend. That being said I know why the pc master race opinion exists. Objectively it is a better system with much better Percision, more frame rates/refresh rates. You gaming world will change once you experience 120+ frames with pin point mouse Percision. Your peaks will be cleaner faster and way more accurate. Expect to be called a cheater a lot once you get comfortable with keyboard and mouse.
yo, kinda a pc nerd here. been playing rust on pc for a while now, anyways the delay you are getting may be due to the cpu, being that its struggling to process rust and your inputs. if you leave a comment with your specs i might be able to help better

@@JDLB ram will help a bit with lag but i've found logging in stay in base for a few minutes let the server load in will help a lot, and try if you can eu servers that being said some say they are located in eu but are not same as ping and pop can be manipulated easily on pc to show something it's not if that makes sense, fair play keep enjoying it and welcome to REAL rust, only children play console or adults that get owned

it could be but i believe its his ram as a lot of the time rust uses more than 16gb causing stutters and frame drops
