- The four major K-pop agencies in Korea are HYBE, SM, JYP, and YG. YG Entertainment, which owns global K-pop stars such as Black Pink, Big Bang, WINNER, iKON, and TREASURE, built an additional new office building in 2020.
In 2021, YG opened a cafe “the same” right in front of their building for fans. You can watch YG building while drinking coffee, watch music videos, and buy goods.

YG Entertainment announced Wednesday that the construction of its new headquarters, which took four years, has finally reached a conclusion.
The new nine-story building in Hapjeong-dong in Mapo District, western Seoul, is located right next to the former headquarters of the agency and is about 10 times larger than the old building. The old and new building will be connected with a sky bridge, said the company.
The new building is equipped with spacious dance studios, high-tech recording studios as well as a gym and a whole floor dedicated to a cafeteria.
Due to security reasons, the company couldn't secure a separate zone for the fans inside the new building but rented a newly established building right across from the headquarters to turn it into a cafe and an exhibition area so that the fans can freely relax and spend time.
“There have been so many fans who pace up and down in front of the YG building, especially those who came all the way to Korea from different parts of the world, just to catch a glimpse of the YG artists,” said an official from the company.
“The problem was that they were still there even under the scorching sun or in bitter cold. It really worried us. And having no restrooms nearby as well.”
The building dedicated for the fans, according to YG Entertainment, will be ready by the end of this year.

Bigbang and Formerly Lee hi are legendary. But the rest of YG artists aren’t that legendary. Blackpink songs are only girl crush which isn’t very unique or legendary and treasure and the rest of YG artists aren’t legendary too. Sorry in my opinion it’s more JYP or SM. S.E.S, Taeyeon, Girls Generation, Boa, F(x) and for JYP Wonder Girls, Miss A and for cube BTOB, 4 minute and beast.

One of the few things that I really like about YG is their buildings (old and new) because it really represents their artists. Also YG really did a nice move, they buy the land and build a building on it, Compared to other agencies if i'm wrong who are just renting a building or few floors only.
Even the yg building itself is unique just like each and every artist in Yg!! I really salute yg sajjang nim for their unique techniques & style of his artist even though many hates yg, yg family is my one and only home in kpop industry period!! 💗

I just remembered that Yeri (Red Velvet) badly wants to come to YG Building. She said it during her interview with Dara (2ne1) on "Yeri Bang/ Yeri's Room". Dara said that she will tour her on new YG building once it will be finished, but I don't think that will be possible now since Dara is not a YG artist anymore :(
Yeri's interview with Dara was filmed in SM building where Dara was able to shop a lot of SM artists' merchs. Dara also shared that she also wanted to come to SM building but somehow felt intimidated since she is a YG artist that time, same goes for Yeri. Yeri also felt intimidated to go to YG building since she is a SM artist. So being a guest in "Yeri's Room" made Dara really happy because it enabled her to enter SM building.

15:24 Even though its referred to as an "undeveloped area", I hope that the charming neighbourhood remains the same...its a rarity amongst all the skyscrapers of Seoul and can be made into a real tourist attraction. However, they need to fix the buildings where needed (repair and maintain) and the electricity situation...all those hanging electricity ropes which are tied to a single pole are making me nervous. It feels like they will snap at any moment and deliver a deadly electrical charge.

Wow, that's bigger than JYPE'S. BTW, I'm a Once, but I'm not trashing the company of JYPE, but dang, it really improved good. But the funds for those money are definitely Blackpink's funds, but still, that's an amazing looking building. Rather than a high building like JYPE, they made into a wide building with 9 stories. Wow, this is amazing.

Lol no, this is more like BigBang and 2NE1 money esp BigBang. It has been in construction way before BP even debuted, was completed in 2020. BP only became YG's biggest moneymaker starting in 2019. iKON even made more money than them from 2016-2018 during BigBang hiatus because of iKON tour earnings.
