I love this song, my dad's family were from Luimneach, I was born and raised in Dublin but Luimneach is my favourite 2nd City, remember visiting relatives down the years as we head to Kilkee for summer holidays in the caravan 😎😊😉
My father was from Drimnagh Dublin. He moved to limerick in the 70s.He is now dead 2 yrs on May 21st 2024. Dublin have 6 hurling all irelands even though they have not won it since the 30s. Limerick have 12, hopefully 13 this year if they win 5 in a row.😅😊

A great song. I did a a Horticulture course in Piltown kilkenny back in 99 to 2002. The lads and ladies from cork, Galway, wexford, Sligo,kildare, kilkenny in the course wanted me to sing it every time in the local bar named Anthony's. I never thought I see the day when Limerick would win 4 all Irelands in a row 😅. They now have 12 going for 13 and 5 in a row.😊

I am from Raheen in Limerick. I worked in Killarney National Park in the summer of 2001 in a temp Horticultural job. The best job I ever had. I Could not get a full time time job there. A great number of years for the Limerick hurlers. Wining 4 in a row in 2023.😅😊

Limerick put up a great battle in the All Ireland semi final 2019, they could have won it. Its being a great 12 months. All Ireland champions, League and Munster champions not achieved since the 1930s.
