- This week started with a trip to the emergency room, then a new chemotherapy, then dry-mouth, starting to lose taste, and fatigue.
The video is interrupted at the end by a FaceTime call from my family. (Sorry, not sorry! 🙂)

TOJJ, I hope you are doing well. I am 17 years removed from squamis cell in my right tonsil. I am experiencing aspiration and aspiration pneumonia which is a challenge. I pray for you. God be with you

Thanks, Tabitha! I finished treatment in June of 2018. I'm doing fairly well now, all things considered. Praying for you, your loved ones, and all those involved in your care. 🙏🏻

Bless you Jeff! You are in my thoughts and prayers. I’m suspecting (hope not) I have something going on with my throat and whatever the results your forward approach and strength is encouraging.
I was all cleared and have a bad case of silent reflux that was causing severe inflammation in my throat. Almost 5 months now. They scopes me and didn’t see anything else. Hope you are doing well Jeff!!!!

Hey Jeff, just going in next Wednesday to the ENT doctor but I think something is going on. It is great to see how brave you are and how frank you are with you comments on how thing are going both good and bad. I hope you are better now, just a little concerned because there has been little activity i a few months. I will pray for you. Please do the same for me.
Thank you! About half-way through treatment I had to get a PEG feeding tube and was not able to eat or drink anything by mouth. I got extremely dehydrated and lost more than 60 pounds. I'm recovering, but it's been a very slow process. And I'm still depending on the feeding tube full time. Recovery definitely happens in baby steps. I'll be praying for you and your ENT visit!

akk these things in other dangers is another reason why i choose alternative. wow... hate your going through it. Amazing how smallest cancer wares you out. Yes, we get so tired so easily. I think i rested/slept all last month... Hope dry mouth & effects are kinder to you. oh tks for dry mouth tip! Botiene never did a thing for me.had long time and nothing works.. great!

I am going to try the melts. Nighttime dryness is horrible
gabi Twinkies - Just FYI, My jaw is usually sore in the morning wherever I placed the melt the night before. I think I may be subconsciously tightening the muscles to hold it in place (which is totally unnecessary). Therefore, I've started changing the placement every night.

It's October 27, 2023. How are you doing? Did they figure out the correct combination of meds to get you healthy? Did you get your dry mouth under control?
Hey Jeff how are you? Prayers for full recovery.i may have to be going though this soon.just found out i have big mass around my lyric right side completely partial left.started losing my voice about 6 months ago.sound like kirmit the 🐸.had cat scan not good.just had 1st appt with ENT.they sitting up biopsy and further scans.thank for all the info you have giving on here. Please when you are up to it let us know how you are doing.
Frankie Helton - Thanks for your message though I'm sorry for the circumstances. Try, as much as you can, not to imagine possibilities until you get your biopsy. Nothing is certain until you get lab results. And if it is cancer - and I know this sounds weird - but there's never been a better time to get cured from it.
I'm still dealing with side effects - dry mouth, difficulty swallowing, peripheral neuropathy, tinnitus and some hearing loss, general weakness and fatigue - but I'm definitely better than I was when I made my last video.
And being alive to make my wife roll her eyes and to embarrass my teenage daughter is the greatest blessing of all.
Please come back and comment when you get your test results. I'm praying for you ... and I've got a lot of resources I hope you'll never need!

Hi just checking in to see if you are ok? You haven't posted a video in a while. Hope it isn't to bad for you.
gabi Twinkies - Thanks for checking on me. June 1st my treatment side effects got really bad and stayed bad. I've been in the hospital three times and I'm getting outpatient treatment for them now. But I'm back home with my family and things are getting better.
Once I feel better I do want to make videos for each of the weeks. I've got really thorough notes on my Facebook group. We'll see what happens. Thanks, again!

Samuel Vulis - Thank you! I finished treatment on 29 June. But I haven't been able to eat since about 10 or 15 June. I've lost 60 pounds (1/4 of my body weight), and have been getting some nourishment through a feeding tube. Need to be able to eat again and to gain about 20 pounds to start getting healthy again. Thanks, again, for your encouragement!
TOJJ - The OTHER JEFF JOHNSON sounds rough! But at least Fred is now eradicated?
