On my birthdate❤
I was in the rural home when I first heard this song as a boy. My mum used to go fetch water a distance away and would carry the 20litre bucket on her head, sometimes walking in the rain. This song opened my eyes to the plight of women in Africa...10km to fetch water...baby on her back...load on her head...daily...exposed to the elements...exposed to fatality...but driven by care and love and duty. Made me realise my mum deserved better. Unsung heroes for and of whom Brenda the hero sang. God bless her soul. God bless my mum's soul. 💕

This song remind me of my late mother. I was 5yrs old she went out to get dry clothes in the line, I followed her. She was carry my 3yrs old sister on her back. I saw her falling down, I screamed crying my father took her to the hospital. She never came back.
