I'd seen that clip with Jacob Copeland before. What his mother did was cruel. This was his choice, his moment and she humiliated him on national tv. That had to hurt. My heart broke for him.

They moved out for that reason, To stay away from that bad area. Why wouldn’t his mom be upset at him going back there and possibly being murdered or sent to prison

He's not choosing to go back to the hood, he chose to go to Gainesville. If she couldn't support him whatever he chose, then she shouldn't have been there at all.

I could never walk out on my child. My son is going 2.5k miles away and I’m not happy but he’s worked so hard and earned this. Gotta let them make choices and experience life
