    A large V bit with exact angle could speed up milling with 5mm stepover in 2-3 operations :)

      Yeah, this one would've needed a huge custom bit, which I did price out, but was too expensive to get for this one project. I kept trying it, like you're saying, but the overlap never worked out right. But my next project was similar, only much smaller squares, so I was able to use V a bit with like 150 degree angle I think. It did go way faster.

    can you discuss how you setup the drawing for your tool path

    • @TGWoodworking
      @TGWoodworking  Před 3 lety

      I first did the drawing in SketchUp if that's what you mean? Then I imported it from SketchUp into my Vcarve software. Then ran a 3d carving path

    Hermoso trabajo. El color no. Hubiera lúcido más creo yo en un blanco perlado. El trabajo que usted hizo con la madera, perfecto. Nos puede decir que madera ocupo.? Y si está a la venta un trabajo similar.?

      ¡Gracias! Sí, el cliente eligió el color. Por lo general, uso madera de álamo, pero también acabo de hacer algo con nogal. Si desea comprar, aquí hay un enlace en mi página de Etsy. www.etsy.com/listing/821656645/3d-cabinet-doors-and-drawer-fronts?ref=shop_home_recs_7&frs=1

    Did you use a ball nose bit for The pyramids? I have to do a door with this exact detail

    • @TGWoodworking
      @TGWoodworking  Před 2 lety

      Yeah but it took ages, absolutely way too long.. Now, I had someone make me some custom v bits to do it. But I can only do the one angle. It still takes awhile, and there's a ton of sanding involved afterwards, no matter how you do it

    what cnc is used in this video?

    • @TGWoodworking
      @TGWoodworking  Před 3 lety +1

      Shark HD4. I've done more of these doors since, and had a custom v bit made to do it way faster. It still takes a lot of sanding afterwards though.

      That was the clients choice. Different strokes for different folks I suppose
