I'm still amazed space engine, how did the developers include the entire universe in the game?
My theory is that most of it is generated by an AI⚙. That's why all planets and galaxies' names begin with "RS" the further you go away from the Milky Way🤔🌌.
@@necxtd I am pretty sure its just procedural generation. I think the most suprising thing in the engine is how scale changes from planets to the entire galaxies without crashing

All the star systems galaxy's planets apart from what we know of are randomly generated none of them are real planets or star systems they're just there to put into perspective how it would look and be in space
And you'll also be amazed to know that only one developer developed this game from the start I'm not sure about right now tho but since the start to 0.9.8 it's just been him I'm pretty sure

Search for TON 618 -> Fly to the center of the galaxy, which should be already marked since the game always marks the center of the object you searched for.
Or you just directly search for "TON 618 Central Black Hole".

There is a bigger black hole than TON-618. "Phoenix A" is a black hole with 100B SOLAR MASSES. on the other hand TON-618 is only 66B solar masses. and Phoenix A....Is still growing in size.
I already tried to find that one in Space Engine for a video, but so far sadly with no success.

I did a lot of research, and can tell you now that the free version doesn't seem to exist anymore🤷♂️. The only way you can get it is by buying it on Steam🌌.

Yeah, volumetric clouds in the vanilla game would be cool☁! But there's an add-on called "Rodrigo's Mod" that can add those clouds to the planets🪐!
