I hope they add stackable potions as a new feature. Especially for healing and harming potion. Always wanted to play like a mage.
I think a cool thing would be to make each level of density make you fall faster when you are holding it, so it would be a sort of risk/ reward enchantment
Also maybe decrease the attack speed.
That could be a separate enchantment, because being more dense doesn’t make something fall faster.
@@-carpet- Well it makes it heavier therefore it makes you fall faster. Not that much but video game logic can work.
@@Dragonseer666 mojang removed fireflies because frogs cant eat them irl, and irl acceleration due to gravity is the same for any object regardless of weight.
Would be a cool thing to pair with elytras
An axe with breach would be OP on Java considering axe crits are insane.
plus the shields in pvp getting broken by axes, then being able to pierce armor would be too insane
Well, if it lowers base damage that would make it fairer.. like max breach axe doing only 3 damage, 5-6 with crit
Especially if you can combo it with sharp 5
I think if Breach is allowed on other melee weapons it needs to be incompatible with Sharpness. And also it needs to be incompatible with Density in general, Breach and Density are way too powerful when combined
@@Sightnado yeah absolutely
maybe an ominous key surrounded by regular keys could craft into 2 ominous keys?
also they could have an extra thing you could brew into a potion to remove the particles, like how glowstone improves the level and redstone extends the timer
A feather
Or just be able to toggle the particles off in setting
@@Moonstriker2514well I think he means to remove it for all players so they can’t see what potion effect you’re using.
I hope the mace can break glass quicker, so I don't have to suffer every time I accidentally place down a glass block
Did you know the sword is the preferred tool to break glass?
@@joshdb523 well if your breaking a window it would probably be more effective to use a hammer than a butter knife 🔪
actually, mace looks like a good tool to vein mine the glass. no use apart of the griefing, but still a interesting one.
In my opinion Breach should have a balancing enchantment on armour. Make projectile protection more useful by allowing it to reduce the effectiveness of breach for example
mace is not a projectile
@@IrisThatOneGothMfhes aware
But that will only be effective in multiplayer and mojang doesn't seem to add multiplayer only features.
@@NidhiSharma-wl7tcNever underestimate mapmakers
@@NidhiSharma-wl7tca seperate enchantment would be a multiplayer only feature, but adding that to an existing one, like projectile or explodion protection would be different
This may be a hot take, but I think its _okay_ to have updates dedicated to one specific group of the playerbase. I'm GLAD they're adding loads of new combat/adventure stuff for once (plus, they already have the autocrafter for redstone fans, and tons of new building blocks for building fans). If you try super hard to appeal to everyone at once it just makes things more difficult.
Best take in the whole comment section imo
I am dissapointed with the "tinkering" aspect of the update
All we have is the crafter
And the copper bulbs which were nerfed to be less useful
Forgot about the wind charge
@@colin3ds1 Yeah, now that you mention it, I feel the same way. There's not even nearly enough "tinkering" in this update.
-They should add the Copper and Tuff Golems, that would fix it!-
@@lasercraft32 copper golem would be really fitting and add some variety to the trial chambers
Just an extra room that connects to it thats abandoned and full of abandoned copper golems
Also since copper golems like to randomly press buttons
They can cause some chaos since they can activate devices throughout the chamber
It would be cool if there were some things only they could activate and you have an objective to get them to a special vault only they can activate
And certain traps that can help the player beat some of the trials
Like I said on Wattles' video, having a structure above connected to the tree room would be cool and adds to the surface of the overworld
maybe the ominous bottle could have 1 more eye for each level
Idk then it's not cute
@@timohara7717it’s ominous bottle not cutesy bottle
@@saratoga6663 parn
@@timohara7717More eyes is more ominous
I like the idea of a slightly less RNG way to get the mace, but stuff like using normal trial keys easily can slip into allowing you to just never need to interact with ominous chambers.
Also yes please give us a new music disk: it’d be a great reward for the normal vaults
they removed the heavy core from the normal vaults loot pool. you need the ominous trials to get the mace.
I think a good way to balance the mace would be to tie durability to how high you fall from. Jumping from 50 blocks to one shot a warden should seriously damage your mace, but if you jump from 5 blocks to kill another player the mace should lose only a little durability.
I want to have better minecarts but instead we get a genuinely good update... without better minecarts! 0/10 worst update ever (but for real though, Im glad they're back into the groove of things, really looking forward to the update, despite its flaws)
Eh minecarts are useless no matter what takes to much resources
@@mysterygamer3751 you missed the point so hard
Connecting the trial chambers via minecart would be nice
More rail types and actually useful furnace minecarts is what we need
@@colin3ds1omg that’s a great optional objective
You can get ominous bottles form pillager captains.
Density and breach should be incompatible
Mace should have Lightning/Thunder Enchantment, or Thor will be dishonoured 😊
Its a mace not a hammer, though you cant really tell because everything is square in this game
I think the way that thy can balance out the trial chimers is so that there are 5 difficulties depending on the ominous potion, then from there you are aloud to open the ominous volte once per difficulty each difficulty has a slightly higher chance of dropping the heavy core. thus also playing in to the replay ability aspect of the trial chambers, not guaranteeing a heavy core but increasing the possibility to finding one in your first or second or even third chamber.
Durability should become more prominent in combat or while fighting mobs. It’s a reason why mending is broken, and making players take more durability using certain armor, tools, effects, or enchantments should be experimental with. In addition, maybe make gold armor/tools work with this gimmick in mind.
I mean, to be fair, the benefits for chill players are already here- the new block pallets! I love the look of the tuff and copper variants that we're getting, plus theres some really cool stuff for Redstoners that even casual players can use with ease. The auto crafter is HUGE.
I think that bc of how the development cycle goes, ppl tend to take the features that are announced early for granted.
This one I can actually agree with. The lower the health the better your damage. It kind of reminds me of berserk in RPGs. There's always a move where the lower your character's health the more damage it does. That would work perfectly for the mace.
I actually like that breech can only be put on the mace because, historically, the mace was an answer to plate armor. Plate armor stopped things that could pierce it quite effectively, so they came up with a weapon designed to crush you in your armor. No piercing .
The true answer to plate armor was gunpowder
The Trial Chambers need an above ground entrance. They could shape it like a Creeper head, a Trial Key or even a Vault. We’ve never had an underground structure with an above ground entryway before and I know this structure would be perfect for it.
Well, technically trail ruins are like that, so it would definitely work in theory now that thise are fixed!
@@kerrybarneyiii1202 that’s not really a proper entrance though. Sure it’s visible on the surface but you can’t just walk right in.
I mean.. Desert temples are kinda like that too. Igloos... Lots of caves..
I don't disagree, but I'd prefer it be more subtle. Like how lush caves can sometimes be hinted at on the surface. Make it so that some type of flower is more likely to grow above a trial chamber. You're not necessarily going to see them, even if you are close, so it would be exciting to stumble across randomly in the overworld. And it wouldn't require as much procedural tunneling to the surface to pull off.
Some kind of above ground indicator would be good, although if new maps always point to undiscovered chambers I can live without Skyrim dwarf towers :)
@@Cyrribrae yes and no. Those are mostly surface structures with only tiny underground portions. I’m talking about a grand entrance type of deal here. They’ve hyped up this update because of the 15 year anniversary and I think it would be cool to finally have an underground structure with a huge entrance on the surface as the cherry on top.
They need to make it so all vaults are reusable! Most of the issues brought up in part 1 would be fixed by that. My issues with this current system are that grinding through chambers will get too exhausting and that searching for more trial chambers will inflate my world file size which causes issues on my Xbox.
it should come at a higher price though, maybe every time you open the same vault, it requires more and more keys (could cap off at a certain number of keys to not make it too expensive)
@@TheGreatOwlMasterthat would be a good idea, because not ONLY would it allow for certain loot like the Heavy Core to actually be guaranteed attainable for everyone *eventually*, but it would also kill the inevitable account farming that would ensue for maces, since not only would that be not neccesary, but it would also be PRICIER compared to just doing it yourself on 1 account
@@TheGreatOwlMaster not a big fan of this idea. I would prefer they make it so that there’s a 2-3 in-game day cool down till you can use the vault again. Or maybe that each time you use the ominous potion the trials get more and more difficult. I want a real challenge, not a constant need for getting maps from cartographers, then spending an hour or so traveling thousands of blocks to find another dungeon
I can’t help but compare this to Terraria. Where if I want to fight a boss for a certain item with 10% drop rate, I have to fight him again. Not look for a new arena
I think they should lower the attack speed and cap the mace damage at like 50 or something.
I agree
Maybe not cap the damage but instead double or triple the amount of blocks you must jump from. For example 4 blocks would kill a max player, they should increase it to around 12 blocks, while maybe increasing fall damage while holding the hammer.
5:40 another idea could be that each level adds a longer cooldown to it,
Eg.
Dens1 - 1sec cooldown
Den2 - 2sec
Den3 - 4sec
Den4 - 6sec
Den5 - 8sec
The problem with the "take fall damage if you miss the shot" part of the mase is that if you wind charge up, you won't take fall damage anyway.
Trial chamber map would be good to find in the ominous vault
Maybe it’d be cool if the mace or some other weapon found in the trial chamber could be used like a wand to shoot wind charges. When I first saw the wind charge, I thought it was pretty awesome for mobility but then I found out how hard it is to get. Maybe you could enchant it with different enchantments to get a fire charge wand, an ender pearl wand, or even a wind charge wand. There’s a lot of potential with this idea
I think this update is pretty much perfect compared to previous updates
(like 1.19/1.20)
Yeah
Totally agree.
@@Pienotpi Yeah but the last two were pretty bad
Not hard to be better than those filler updates
That would be a good idea! A trial chamber map While breaking the jars okay that makes sense.
Best solution: mace doesn’t completely erase fall damage. Although making it always survivable or something wouldnt be bad if ur sittin at half a heart fighting something or someone
I agree with those solutions.Though I mean i've been saying they need to have an enchantment where you can mine the ore and it just automatically smelts it for you. I've also been saying they should have a potion of haste. Because ain't no way you're gonna get haste unless you get that beacon and that requires combat
Outro joke was good, one of those “Hold on… OH! 🤣” ones, 8/10! I just wish Mojang ever listened to your suggestions, Toycat! 😔
Another thing I want to talk about the ominous bottles I've been wondering how this is going to work with bedrock edition. Because you can't stack the bad omen like in java So it makes me wonder Is it going to only have the one level or are they going to apply to both versions?
Yeah I completely agree that density should make you take more fall damage when in your hand. Or maybe even just by being in your inventory.
YES Brand new music disk please! It gave me a sense of accomplishment knowing that I went to said structure and I have a Souvenir that I can use. Even in ancient cities when I don't want to deal with them. Just the feeling of "hey I got the disk 5 assembled" It makes it worth it for me to be going down into the scariest place in minecraft. So in the same way The trial chambers needs a disk
The Mace should be able to turn stone blocks mined by it into gravel and gravel into sand. Also could have an enchantment that turns mined stone into sand or add that functionality to fortune. I just want renewable sand without having to dupe it.
On Minecraft 1.14 on the ps3 and maybe xbox 360 its still a thing, you could smelt sand fast in a blast furnace and it was such a nice feature cause I use glass a lot but furnaces are slow even on large scale.
I agree they should make Potions stackable. It certainly would save a lot of inventory space. Would make it way better for your shulker boxes as well
I’m thinking that an enchant where players if they hit mobs or other players a certain amount of times in a row gives strength to the player hitting (sword only, stops rising at strength 2 after 20 hits)
Diamond armor should have a split off decision tree. Either use netherite for knickknacks resistance and I think add a bit of fire resistance or use the heavy core and get stronger armor at the cost of walk/run/fly speed. You could then enchant it with the density and add a bit more armor at a bit more slowness cost.
That's a good idea about making Breach available for other weapons. But I feel like it would take away The exclusiveness of that enchant to the mace
I still want a 4th Mace enchantment that makes you dive straight down at ridiculous speed when you press right click. Could be called Terminal Velocity or something.
Based on the level of bad omen it should definitely Increase better loot from the ominous trial spawners and better chances of the key being dropped and then additionally that key?Whichever ominous vault you use It's gonna be even better than loot Maybe even a higher chance of the Heavy core. Reward us For making the ominous trial even more difficult
Can breach be applied to Swords too? That would change the combat meta and how we the players interact in a PvP situation.
1:00 they should add an indication on the surface like with the ancient city either the mountains biomes to the lush caves
if u want u can just use chunkbase and it will show u every generated structure in ur world so they wont be hard to find and they also spawn really frequently like there mostly like 500-1000 blocks away from eachother and they spawn everywhere
To add to my solution about The higher the level of bad omen the better the loot, The ominous trial key would be labeled based on what type of ominous trial you beat So when you hover you over and it will tell you "ominous trial key Obtained from Bad Omen III Ominous trial" And that way youll know You're going to get better loot than say If you got bad omen I
The Mace should be able to mine stone into gravel, sandstone to sand, wood into sawdust (the new gravity block!) Ect. Ect. Ect.
It'd be cool and be a smashing good time. Oo there's the enchant name "Smashing"!
I think you should be able to craft the ominous key with 3-8 regular keys and an ominous bottle in the middle
What if smelting raw copper blocks makes smooth copper blocks, just like stone to smooth stone?
No, thank you to the change of the density. Keep it as is. I wouldn't want more fall damage? Plus isn't that the same thing like With sharpness? you'd have to balance the entire overall enchantments
I feel like axe has gotten a lot of buffs as a combat item already that it doesn't need Breach. If anything add it to the Pickaxe and/or Hoe to give them something extra
I disagree with you on inclusivity. I'm not into combat. There's little in this update that interests me. But at least i can avoid it. It would be frustrating if i needed to fight trial chambers to get good mining ability or something.
No way you can apply the negative potion effects supposedly for monsters to passive mobs too??!?!?!?!
That's one way to get string without spiders.
Jeb and Agnes, watching this video: "Skriv ner det, SKRIV NER DET!!!"
Minecraft should add a katana with very high attack speed (able to spam like 1.8) but very low damage to balance that
Katana? Lmao katana is slower and heavier than the sword irl
my best best method of finding these are by finding a lush cave or a large mountain with a deep dark biome below.
I feel like breach would be more fitting for a pickaxe than an axe. Also the axe already has anti-shield properties.
9:30 Isn't that what the engineering section is going to be for? So if you don't care about combat you can just make a crafter and have something that you can automate
What if there’s was an enchantment book that you can put on the mace to give you more power, but if you miss, you get instant damage to your hearts!
I completely Agree. give the ominous trials a bar
3:06 dont think about just enjoy update and get excited for next update
11:03 you heard him, Mojang. we need a vanilla hammers!
I’m looking forward to mining all the copper.
I think ominous keys should be able to be crafted into 9 normal keys, but not the other way around
I think that Density and Breach should count as other damage increasing enchantments, so you could put on your mace either Density or Breach or Smite or Bane of Anthropods. Also it makes me to question why Bane of Anthropds isn't a real option in this list, why you have nearly useless enchant in your game, Mojang?
The trial chambers are like raids they should have more rewards. They should’ve released like five unique weapons.
The damage that it does could be because there's gonna be a new bossmob with huuuuuuge health
try out this seed on chunkbase: -5592633653095784779 has cherry grove inside a mountain ring, with ancient city and trial chamber underneath, large jungle, flower forest, warm ocean, mushroom island with trial chamber underneath, and desert (both the trial chambers are not there on bedrock) also has sculk at y=94 in a crack in the cherry grove mountain ring please put this in seed sunday!
I think they should add an alternate version of the Mace crafted with Blaze Rods, which could have that lower health = higher attack ability instead.
Blace
Or a different weapon entirely that uses the Blaze rod, with more fire theming. Like a flamethrower or some kind of fireball launcher. Then we'd have 3 Elemental-ish weapons, that being the Trident for water, the Mace for air, and whatever they'd call the fire weapon. Then we'd only need an Earth-themed weapon and mob.
@@kittydemonoverkill Oh hey, finally a use for Fire Charges! :D
Im so happy we have a weapon that requires a lot of skill to use
Density should decrease weapon speed. That is the only logical and balanced downside possible.
you might think giving the ace breach will make it OP . However even after all the complaints of axes doing to much damage when the 1.9 combat update came out it still hasn't become the main weapon on pvp servers . Swords are far more common which means somehow they're still better and the axe isn't op .
The big difference is the cooldown on axes. The mace has the same cooldown as swords, and if you have even one or two blocks of height it does WAY more damage
@@cryptictro than maybe they should give it axe cool down
@@zakariyapedersen5715 I do agree, they should give it the same cooldown as axes or a bit longer.
i feel like the stackable potion should be in minecraft from a while
I think breach should instead of lowering damage increase the cooldown per hit of a mace
I don't think pots is a good option but maybe low chance of getting map using ominous trial keys
How about higher the level of density higher the time of stun to player as risk
If anyone see’s this comment I have a question about the Ominous bottles do all the ominous bottles have the different stages in bedrock as well what I mean is the difficulty because I really want the raids to be harder and more rewards like Java
Mojang should just work in combat for the rest of this update. That or they should finish it over the span of the next update
I would love if you could not place blocks in the trial chambers
All these layers of rng already make me not care if I find a chamber.
9:24 Tuff blocks, crafter, wolf armor, wolf variants
Density should not lower attack damage, instead it should slow down attack speed. This would also play into the name of the enchantment.
That's interesting. Makes it really high risk. If you miss - or even if you hit but don't kill - you're quite open for counter
Sort of like how mining fatigue affects attack speed
Yes that would be cool!
Doesn't work as a balancing factor because of bedrock though, where there is no attack speed
@@Cyrribrae That would be neat, would really add depth to combat. As much as many people disliked the combat update a few years ago disallowing the old spamming, I actually like it cuz it demands a bit of strategy & technique; timing swings, blocking, & dodging, weaving in & out & seizing opportunities. Having something like that but amplified for a mace that can be insanely powerful & dangerous would add even more depth & challenge to combat, which SHOULD be deep & challenging. Not just "who has the fastest pointer finger?" which resulted in "battles" usually being over within 3-5 seconds, & left players with slow clicking abilities or who use controllers (like me on both counts) having no chance whatsoever in PvP.
(Or I dunno, blame my love of Dark Souls/Elden Ring. 😉)
7:15 bottom right hand corner stackable is spelled 'stakcable'
You should be able to duplicate the ominous key like it’s an armour trim
I don’t really see why when the vaults are the limiting factor. The spawners can give you infinite keys as long as you beat the trials but there are only so many vaults. You don’t really need more once you’ve opened all the vaults except to bring them to other chambers
Blast furnace should smelt raw ore blocks into full metal blocks
blast furnace should be able to smelt raw blocks
trial chambers are basically just under forests
Historically in real life was ONLY a weapon
If an item has the breach enchantment, then it shouldn't be able to use sharpness, smite, or other similar enchantments.
Do you think the new effects will be debuffed?
No
You can actually turn off particles in Java.
This is the multiplayer update
I think a special boss mob spawner, where you can use a certain number of keys to spawn the mob, would be cool
I dont find that having nothing for casual players is an issue. Considering there hasn't really been something for hardcore grindy players in a very long time...
It would be cool if Mojang made it so the wolf could howl!
I don't think it makes sense for breach to be on an axe. Axes aren't good for getting through armor in real life. You know what is? A mace. The enchantment makes sense as it is.
That’s a lot of emeralds
can we all just agree that the java wither has some serious skill issue .( like how did the wither not even affect him within wither once?)
I think Mojang should nerf the mace. I get its super rare, but there is no reason why it should do this much damage. I think the mace should have a slightly longer cooldown than an axe, and they should reduce the base damage of the mace down to 5. Also maybe make it so the Mace only does 0.5 hearts of damage per block fallen.
The cooldown is practically getting up to your spot. I agree that it should be slow to swing, though.
I dunno if I'd go that far, but I do find it very funny how the mace has the exact same attack cooldown as a regular sword. Either they're really trying to focus on parity with this update and not have the mace be way stronger on one version like how axes are way better on Java, or they just forgot about that mechanic altogether
@@squiddler7731 Axes aren't better than swords though? Where did you get that from?

In terms of pvp, there are many effective ways to counter shields with a sword which mainly require skill in strafing and other movement based techniques, although axes are still preferred to disable them for convenience. However, the DPS of a netherite axe vs maxed netherite armour is so comically low compared to swords that they are often never worth using and can even be neglected.
In vanilla gameplay, axes have a worse DPS and no mobs have an AI required to utilise a shield in the game yet.
Axes do not possess higher durability damage vs armour in sustained dps (which will be common in fights with a higher skill level than the average player) so they are not worth using in that scenario too.
Overall, axes are mathematically the worse weapon and every 1.9+ pvper understands that and avoids using them in serious, endgame fights.
10:00 A bit of a Mandela effect. I used to think there was a haste potion in the Legacy Console edition but that it got removed. Either that or I thought Efficiency used to be called Haste :/
