Counseling/therapy is vital in all relationships in order to overcome any uneasy situations. You go to a doctor for a tooth ache so why not go to a specialist for a relationship problem? I love how you tell your kids you love them and give them hugs. Arwin is so ready for that she tell y’all she loves you. She’s learned love! I don’t know if y’all have noticed the way she says mom or dad. She stresses how she says it. Go back and listen on this blog. She probably needs lots of love and family right now. Bella is such a hoot! She’s so funny in a great way. I love her personality. Hair looks good Savannah. Loved that the kids loved your thoughtfulness of giving them a boo bucket.

I think it's so cool that Bella keeps sentimental things like notes and her brother's letters. Her brothers also seem to keep their childhood photos and things and it's so adorable. It's nice to keep those things and look back on those memories because even the smallest piece of paper can hold so much meaning :) I wish everyone in this wonderful family the best.
Joy having something in her mouth is a very common trait in golden retrievers. My golden and mini golden doodle are the same way. This is especially true when someone comes home or visits. She is so pretty.
Arwen is so stinkin' cute! Her joy when she is shown the love and care you guys give her makes my heart smile.

For the past three years we've been doing boo baskets for kiddos in our community and they love it. I'm glad to see y'all starting the tradition in y'alls house.
Happy Anniversary! My husband & I celebrated our 18th anniversary in Sept & we’ve never been on a honeymoon. We have been on 3 “trips” together, but they were all his work travel. So I told him this year that he has 2 years he better start planning for a honeymoon for our 20th anniversary. 😁
Bella should do scrapbook from all of the notes in her box that she safe. It a great way to minimize the boxes into books.

Arwin and her little squeak is just so cute. You can just hear the joy in the voice. I don't know her circumstances before now, but I am glad she is getting a little spoiled (just like the others.) When I hear foster care I always seem to associate it with sadness for the child. Not being in foster care (well partly) but why they had to go into foster care to begin with. I had some things happen in my youth so I can feel for these kids. Arwin really hit the lottery with this family. Also I hope she keeps the name Arwin when she is finally adopted. She kind of looks like a little elf (in a good way.) Watching past adoptions it is amazing how the kids go from scared and uncertain to complete joy and feeling safe. They can finally rest and be a kid again. I love you guys and what you do. The differences you have made in these kids lives is unmeasurable.

Barbados is Beautiful (i may be biased)......the beaches are beautiful...Aaron you are a foody you need to go to OIstins and try the food there, its mostly fish but you can get other meats as well. Enjoy your time on our beautiful Island...Maybe ill see you guys out and about!!
Don't forget the beaches and the natural coconut water, our island is in the middle of the sea in the Caribbean sea

I TOTALLY know how you feel! When we left our kids for the first time last year for our 10 yrs Anniversary to New England, I was sooo nervous to leave them even though they were completely safe & completely trusted my brother & sister in law. We called them every night, but after the first 2 nights they didn't even want to talk to us; which hurt my momma heart at first, but also showed they were having fun & completely fine. Then I got nervous they weren't going to be excited to see us when we got back, but they were sooo excited & ran up & hugged us!!
Hearing the place barbados always has a heavy place in my heart my brother went there on vacation with his girlfriend and they never returned got lost and its been i think 4 years and still no trace of them or any updates from the country itself

my husband and i follow the traditional ways. we work on our relationship daily. we both have a past and those things cause feelings. In our relationship its God, each other, family and everyone else. We do not keep secrets or feelings from each other. Its a lot of work laying the groundwork but gets easier. It is truly putting your life in your partners hands. and not everyone outside of us gets our relationship.

Our bichon shihtzu always has to have something in her mouth. Often, it's a sock. 😂 When we get home she always has to go find one for us. She also has a dog toy thats huge and she carries that everywhere, always takes it on holiday with her to the kennels. 😂
