Need practice. Can you tell me it's okay to use translation While talking to someone native.. now it has become my habbit & now i don't feel confident that muchh.. i need to check everytime before speak
Dinu Gautam it is ok to translate or look up words you don’t know or not sure about. Or if you have to write an email or so, you can write it with your words and then check out of it is correct. But, I’d recommend don’t create the bad habit of translating everything, because the more you do it the more difficult will be to break it. Plus, translating, sometimes don’t help, you might end up sounding unnatural, or even using words incorrectly. There’s nothing wrong on making mistakes, mistakes are necessary and welcome. I know you can feel overwhelmed and that feeling might lead you to lack of confidence, but I’m telling you this from my own experience with English, let it go, relax a bit, and don’t be so hard on yourself. Eventually you’ll be able to catch your own mistakes and get rid of them. 😊😊

Cuando era joven, vivia en el campo junto con mis hermanos. Todos los dias jugabamos futbol por la tarde, y despues ibamos juntos a casa al aterdecer. Mi mama era una mujer alta y simpatica pero muy seria. Siempre quiera que nos haciamos nuestros tareas.
Mi casa era pequena pero muy comoda. Era pintaba en verde y blanco, y estaba ubicada en un poquito cerro en el pueblo.

Hace diez años dormía mucho después de volver de la escuela en vez de salir con mis amigos. Cuando no estaba durmiendo probaba diferentes recetas de postres y otras comidas. Tambíen, a menudo bailaba con mis amigas y ibamos al parque. Un dia tuve que quedar en la casa porque mi hermana estaba enferma pero cuando vinó mi madre, salí la casa y pasaba tiempo con mis amigos.

Hace 10 años yo empezaba mis estudios en la universidad y trabajaba en construcciones como técnica de seguridad laboral. No conocía a mi esposo ni hablaba español. Yo soñaba con estudiar muchas lenguas y conocer otros países, pero no tenía dinero. Casi nunca hacía deportes sin embargo era mucho más delgada porque era más joven y la grasa no quedaba impregnada en el abdomén. XD
Sólo una corrección: Hace 10 años yo empecé....
Cuando utilizamos empezar, terminar, comenzar, y así, tenemos que usar el pretérito, porque denota un tiempo definido.
Jajajaja lo mismo me pasa, con la edad el metabolismo cambia y la grasa quiere estar más pegada a nosotros 🤣🤣

Yes, in those sentences the first one has the sense of description, maybe you’re telling a story and you’re sharing background information. And the second one has the sense to be a finished action at a definite time, like when you say: He was playing all day yesterday. Él estuvo jugando ayer todo el día. Let me know if you have any other question. 😉
