Oy. I have worked inside the BBC, years ago. It has changed much since then, but I feel what is probably happening is that you have been noticed by an individual (or small group of them) who is now on some kind of vendetta. This means there is hope they will eventually get fired, moved or find another job, at which point the notices may cease. I really hope so. Beautiful valid and loved you are.

I've been doing Who videos for about 15 years, almost every single one gets blocked worldwide on release, mostly they get through on challenge but the BBC gets the ad rev.
The Flux review was different. They chose a certain bit of footage and claimed it 3 times (saying it was in 3 different episodes) and blocked it twice and monetised it once. I challenged all 3 and they decided all these were legit and the video is still blocked.
To make this even funnier, I once directed a microbudget documentary, parts of which ended up in a BBC documentary, where some people took the piss out of it. I wasn't asked and wasn't told about this until I saw the BBC documentary after it got released. And because I'm not a dick about it I feel I have the high ground.
Also pretty sure the BBC has taken down videos of mine for just mentioning A Fix with Sontarons, so I think sometimes fuckery is deliberately done.

I know this is going to sound like too much of a hassle but you should really consider asking a British friend to do this. Put in a FOIA request. I'm American but some basic googling shows you can put in a FOIA request with the BBC since they are publicly funded. I know a FOIA sounds like a hard legal thing to do but they are actually quite simple. I have no legal training and do not know any lawyers and I've successfully put in FOIA requests. They do not, at least in my local American context, need to be fancy. I'd suspect there are emails between BBC and CZcams that either have your name or your videos' names in them. In an American context, emails are usually considered public records and are 100% obtainable. I see BBC even has a whole section on their website about FOIA requests. Maybe this is much more complicated than I'm making it seem but I think at the very least it would be interesting to confirm or deny any suspicions you have.

I think its most likely that the policies regarding the BBC's monitoring and policing of their IP has become more restrictive (on mass) due to how toxic fandom became during Chibs era. They are mitigating critical reviews that could impact the value of their IP. I very much doubt that they have different policies based on the age of the material being featured from Dr Who, or if it was generated, pre or post Disney deal. The BBC more than likely has written up their current policies to cover the entire IP (old & new) in a manner that serves both Disney and the BBC's continued investment. From their stand point, they don't need thousands of youtubers bashing Dr Who, when they can push forward a select few that are in their pocket.

I can only speak for myself. I watch your videos for *your* commentary and opinion. I don't always see things the way you do, and you know what... we are both reasonable, rational adults, and if we disagree... well, that's alright then! 🙂
I don't watch your videos *because* they contain clips, and I won't stop watching them if they don't have clips. Certainly, clips or stills can help to illustrate a point, or maybe "jog a memory" about the episode in question... but they aren't what make your videos interesting or enjoyable.
Please don't undervalue your work, by thinking that you have to use clips, to make it a good quality output. It is already great quality, without the clips!
If it makes your life easier, to only use stills, and it reduces the stress and frustration of having to keep dealing with the complaints and appeals procedures, then certainly from my point of view... it won't stop me watching your content.
Please, for the sake of your health and blood pressure, and peace of mind... use stills.
Don't give them the satisfaction of forcing you to jump through hoops, every time they claim something - even if you do "get the win" in the end.
If they want to act like spiteful children, don't give them the opportunity.
The more you complain/appeal/react, the more that they will see that it is getting to you - and they get the payoff they want. They are acting like bullies - treat them as such!
You can rise above it, by not giving them the opportunity to claim anything - and I promise you, that your videos will not suffer because of it.
I said that I can only speak for myself... but I'm pretty sure that your viewers appreciate *your* work... your comments and opinions are what make the videos worth watching, not "clips"... and you have a lot of support.

If I was you, I'd write to them (I think they're renamed now, but I'm sure if you have a search you'll find the right team) and explain your situation - invite them to look at your channel - and hopefully you'll have the same positive outcome.
