My tip for a lot of people is: DON'T GET STUCK IN THE LAB! People spend hours and hours just practicing and as good and well as that is, if you wanna get better, play more matches.

1v1 solid way to improve
Here are a few tips I have found:
Don’t rematch when there is an ungodly amount of lag(do this to retain sanity).
Against Iron Giant, he has a massive hit bot, use that to apply pressure and bully him.
If an Arya Stark suddenly transforms into another character, be careful going near her, it is a aoe stun that lasts a bit longer than the visuals would lead you to believe.
Don’t get greedy when combo’ing a Reindog, if he has a crystal above him it will likely hit you out of the combo if you linger.
If you are a Reindog player, in a 1v1 always have your leash out, there are no teammates to save so it is just free damage.
Lastly as a general curtesy, if someone toasts you, toast them back(unless they were toxic, then take the money and run)
Reindog crystal kinda sucks 1v1 though, has huge startup and endlag and if you hit it once it deactivates. Best tip against Reindog is to try to approach him at an up-diagonal angle; he has a lot of trouble covering approaches from that angle. Once you get into close quarters don't stand right above him as his up-normal is really good, and you should be able to beat him a majority of the time in the scramble situation.

@@meethepie I find his crystal is good with the Crystal Pal perk once you see an opening to get it up, as it helps keep you safe from people who are playing aggressively. Additionally, you can bait them into knocking the crystal and hit them with an up normal into aerial up normal combo.
Can't wait for more characters to be added and the meta to develop over time. Really hope this game doesn't fizzle like some other platform fighters have in the past.
The future is looking bright considering how well the Devs are listening to the community. Plus the eSports scene is already starting.
I have a feeling this game is here to stay. As long as the devs keep characters balanced, and continually innovate new characters and maps. It has tons of potential. As stated before the mechanics are designed really well, so it’s jus about keeping the content interesting.

My tip: The goal is to knock the other person off the stage, not to do damage, doing damage is a means of making it easier to get knockouts, your goal should be learning how to confirm kills, not the craziest combo you can find.
Not to mention....good luck landing combos in free for all. 1v1 u can get em in but ffa...not so much

These are some great tips....for a smart person 😋 My strat in Smash Bros is usually just grab all the items and try not to jump off the stage. Try to keep some of these in mind.

Hitboxes will be easier to learn when they add the hitbox display option to the lab, which I believe is coming in the next update or the one after that

Dodge jump back onto the stage and then wail on your opponent while they’re still in their attack animation because you are suddenly behind them.

As a general rule don’t use any of the 5%dmg perks or %dmg reduction perks there are almost always a better option
There’s also a Glossary for all the terms, buffs, and debuffs etc in the game. I don’t think he mentioned it.

Learn how to dodge and spot dodge effectively both aggressively and defensively on the floor and in the air. There are way more ways to approach the enemy than jumping in and/ running up to them with a attack
Multiversus is pretty fun
Can you do a video on canceling an enemy attack to make your land? So many times as finn I do an attack and mid attack when my sword is out and should be hitting them, they somehow hit me instead.
Thought I wouldn’t enjoy the game. Never played smash bros before. However, this game is fun and new to myself. What makes it great is the balance. No character seems broken atm... besides finn’s bookbag😂

But good video I main arya stark - it is funny to get a top map ko on a super man woth around 30 damage 🤣 plus her face steal allows me to get a good grip on other characters attacks if you didn't know most of the main charges attacks are replaced woth your opponents with face steal

Not sure if this one was on there but for the new player who wants to get competitive with some of these vet smash players learn your kill confirms and learn when you can use them as this will make your life much much easier facing you ff against the majority of the smash vet riff raff. Gl to all the new players and hopefully once I can pull myself out of the lab I’ll see you all in game

Honestly glad I played a lot more brawlhalla than smash, naturally good with the Dodge mechanic and the advance techniques. So climbing in rank will be a breeze for a bit.
Changed my controls by putting the dodge on left and right trigger buttons and that's about it but inlike you advice about changing the air specials !
But why can a swing attacks and never hit anyone. Can someone explain why attacks miss. I'm on tutorial swinging at a bot standing still and can't hit them

Any tips on getting first hits in combat, it seems the other players attacks hit before my causing mine to not register. Am I attacking too early or too late? Are you suppose to attack right before they get to you or once they are already close enough? Appreciate any help guys!!
It depends on the attack! Certain moves are faster or slower than others, of course, but also moves have a hidden "priority" value. You might be playing a character with slow attacks, less reach, or using attacks with lower priority. Try experimenting with different moves and distances as well.

Try to learn the attacks of your main and learn simple combos, and don’t spam attacks because they’re likely to dodge

The scumbaggery kinda plays the game lets you get away with when you equip all the mobility perks is amazing. I wish Smash would reward you for making risky off field plays like this game does.

Not gonna lie, I've kind of rage quitted a few mins ago. There are a few gripes i have with this game that ticks me off, like I swing first but their neutral move beats mines and some attacks just go right through them. I never played any of the smash games, and Tekken was like the game I had played previously so I will likely not get used to seeing this kind of hitbox and hurtbox behavior. When I play this game its either I'm out skilled by someone who are used to this type of games or someone want to cheese to win.
The hit/hurtboxes have less to do with platform fighters and more to do with a game in its beta version
