I'm 18 and my dad was telling me that the only cartoon I ever watched was digimon. I learned to turn on the tv when I was like 3 so to watch it in the morning, but I didn't know how to change the channel yet so my dad would put it on the correct channel before we went to bed the night before just so I could watch digimon in the morning. To say digimon was my childhood would be a gross understatement, I lived and breathed it and still do today.

I'm actually doing digital art if Davis right now becuase his VA is going to be at the Sacramento Anime convention this weekend. They used to show reruns of the older season on Disney but I grew up watching mostly Tamers and Frontier.

Worst part is this was like 4 movies mashed into 1
I'm only 13, so I can't say I'm a 90's kid and was obsessed with the show when it came out or anything, but I saw the movie when I was about 9 which sent me into a digi-frenzy. (budum, ksss.) It just makes me wanna cry as I watch this edit. I can't think of a more incredible show for a kid to get hooked on than this one. The characters and their bonds, the risks they took solely for their partners, I just.. Thank you, Digimon. You'll have such a special place in my heart, forever.

The animation for this movie was sooo good...I remember when I was a kid I'd get that urge to want to jump in and be with them lol....its crazy how a lot of shows seemed to do that..

Gosh this AMV is 16 years old, I'm 32 now so this came out when I was half my age now. Somebody born when this came out could watch that now at the same age when I watched that AMV for the first time. Time flies for sure... (great job btw even back then!)
It's actually even older. I uploaded it to another site before I did CZcams. I actually made it in high school and now I'm teaching high schoolers!
@@EternityinOurHearts316 Haha I remember the times before CZcams! There was a platform called StageSIX or so where people had uploaded anime openings in effing HD. There was nothing in HD on the internet back then anywhere. We didn't even have a flat screen yet so my computer screen was the clearest screen in the house and let me tell you seeing the Death Note openings and endings in 720p felt like what the moon landing must have felt like to people lol
It’s funny how one distinctly remembers some things. I was walking in the shop with my mom and I came across the Digimon movie VSH tape and I begged her to buy it for me. She did. I went home and watched it immediately. It was raining heavily that day but I was so enthralled by this movie. When I hear this song play, it just takes me back to those wonderful days of my childhood where responsibilities did not exist. Those were the days that I will always hold near to my heart. Awesome memories.

I was the shy kid and growing up I learned what I said in my last comment, never be afraid to take a chance. The worst that could happen is somebody says no, but the next person or the person after that or etc, will say yes. Be brave and never conform to the people around you. Be yourself and stay true to what you believe in.
Now that I'm older and am rewatching Adventure 2, I like how the movie and the series are connected and it's not a case of a movie that has no connection at all the the series (hi, pokemon).
Like, how we see what caused Yolei to become a Digidestined (I believe you see her at some point in the 1st part of this movie). Willis is referenced several times in the series (and here we have him). The Digi-egg of Miracles makes a reappearance.
Although it does apparently have continuity errors, according to the wiki.

i originally came here about a month ago because, i was in a bad mental state and my normal go to's weren't cutting it. so i decided to hit some nostalgia hits and this happened to be one of them. a month later still here. the digimon the movie soundtrack was my favorite at the time of it's release and it seems it still is.
Today is my 24th birthday. I loved watching Digimon back then and I love the original series still now. When I was a kid my father rented the movie and I watched all day that day. I love my memories. I wish I was young again... Best series ever!!!

Watched this a while ago, and honestly it was pretty bad, but I fuckin loved it anyway, this movie was my childhood
+Brandon summerlin I'll always love it for nostalgia and warm childhood memories, but the dub is terrible. The voices are fine, but a lot of the lines they changed cause issues with the character development. You should watch the original Japanese version of both the show and the movies, yeah I said movies because the first movie is actually originally 3 separate movies they just glued together. They removed some scenes as well which explains things like where the fuck Mimi was when TK and Kari were supposed to be visiting her.
oh wow, so I really need to dig around then, cause this is the only digimon movie I've seen and they really jump around a lot, second half feels like an entirely different story
Brandon summerlin Yeah because it is aha The one with Tai and Kari as kids is called Digimon Adventure like the show, the second with Diaboromon is Our War Game and the third with Cocomon is Digimon Hurricane Touchdown/Supreme Evolution! The Golden Digimentals.
Then of course there's the movies that go along with the other Digimon series after Adventure, and the upcoming direct sequels to the original 2 seasons.

I remember how people loved the intro movie with the season 1 cast way way more then the actual main movie.
i never got to watch the unfortunately despite how religiously I watched the show growing up but remember watching this music video on fox kids only one and remember being mesmerized. Thank you for the great memory i wished I could've shared my love for this show with others but I am grateful to know i wasn't the only fan of this show.

I'm about to be 29 in a few days and this song makes me feel 10 years old again. It's crazy remembering the past, school, school friends, getting grounded, parents still alive, playstation and ps2, n64, gameboy advanced. If I could go back either knowing what I knew now or starting over with no memories, I would gladly do it. Life is too short and all it takes to ruin or grow it is a single choice.
