    I'm a Student of Calligraphy in the script of Arabic and English. I've not seen anything about him before and now I'm shocked to notice that he's a Senior calligrapher whom we call "Ustadz". Everything he has said is highly precious. Allah Bless Him 💟

    As salam alaikum السلام عليكم. I also do calligraphy and am low vision al,ost blind. I always wanted to know. What is the signature like writing at the bottom of the piece that looks like a name sitting on an سرا...? Does it mean “written by...”? I love calligraphy and have been doing it all by sight since I was 12 and am 36 now and also Muslim. I feel like Arabic calligraphy is keeping the sacred word (Quran) and other religious phrases preserved and beautiful. I also enjoy don't modern calligraphy of positive and inspirational quotes too. I am teaching myself modern standard Arabic but already know a lot if religious arabic as I am Muslim by faith and like to know what I say during my prayers rather than just memorize it without knowing.
    Thanks for your work! Keep it up. We need more people doing this and keeping it alive. :)

      Walaikum salam, it's the signature of the calligrapher, one can only do that once they reach ijazet (licence/permission). May Allah make your path easy and your result successful Ameen

      Try taking up Duolingo, then go to your local Masjid to find the local calligrapher (once this Pandemic is over of course)

    Can someone tell for what the magnesiumcarbonate is ? Some calligraphers use it on their paper but i don't know why

    • @RetorikMalaya
      @RetorikMalaya Před 3 lety +2

      to make it bug-free so the paper will last for years

    • @maskerjr

      hold up, its actually to make the paper smoother, as calligraphers use ahar paper which is treated paper, they want to make their writing even smoother and they applied magnesium carbonate or talcom powder, or even chalk.
