As someone who doesn’t have such a good player on their team it’s better to encourage them instead of making them feel worse about it. Encouraging your teammates EVEN WHEN THEY MAKE A MISTAKE helps them improve. Attitude is important when playing a sport where you have to work as a team to win and succeed. She made mistakes just like everyone else does. 😂

i think some people need to realize that haikyuu is VERY unrealistic and as a volleyball player whose a freshman in highschool, this really accurate as for what happens in our club/school tournaments what happens in haikyuu is what goes on in olympic teams istg some people are so judgmental volleyball is extremely hard it’s literally ten times harder than it looks serve receive especially you need tons of mental and physical strength for that these girls are obviously doing the best they can and they are perfectly normal for their age y’all are just a bunch of haters

To all those people who went here because they watched Haikyuu and decided to start joining volleyball, just a piece of advice, I started volleyball even before I watched Haikyuu and it's not like what you think in Anime.
Volley ball is a sport of height, determination, perseverance, strength and moving your body and coordinating it with your brain together.
Those you've watched in Haikyuu can only be done by players or talented players like those who compete in big games. This is not to discourage you guys okay? I mean just a piece of advice I had been in volleyball for almost 10 years or perhaps I guess 11 years and now I'm 19 years old.
It's something that evolves through years, unless if you're just gifted with the talent of athleticism and in the sports itself.
Volleyball can very be heartbreaking and depressing most of the time, especially if haven't been chosen to play in a game? or even to touch the ball in an official match, it's really painful if you're a player yourself.
Doing overhand serves I not a easy as you think and receiving is not as basic as you think.
Just take note of this friendly advice, "No one could jump as high as Hinata" (Imagine him or he could jump for almost about 5ft which is an average height of a human person, there are only few who could do that.)
All in all I just want Yall to know that if you join Volleyball don't expect too much from what you've seen in Haikyuu, (I love Haikyuu but let's Beall realistic, especially those my fellow Haikyuu fans and at the same time Volleyball player in real life.)
You needed to prepare yourself guys not only Physically? , Mentally? , socially but most importantly EMOTIONALLY.
NOT ALL PLAYERS ARE GIVEN THE CHANCE TO BE IN THE COURT TO STAND. I'M JUST SAYING THIS TO THOSE WHO WANTED TO LEARN AND START PLAYING VOLLEYBALL.
HAIKYUU is a great anime but what is happening in the anime doesn't happen in the real life Volleyball. NONE OF THEM. ( I mean some of them it does but mostly they don't.)
Just make sure if you want to join and play volleyball that it's your "PASSION" that it is calling to you.

The navy team plays so satisfyingly, they call the ball, they hit the ball mid air before crossing the line so it isn't out ( 6:20 ), and they play so smoothly. But the other team doesn't even work together. it's like they don't even wanna be a team. EDIT: Omg big fan of 7 on Raiders. She has all the skills I need too master, plays so good.
ratings i would give the both teams: (from 0 to 10)
dark blue team:
serves: 7,5/10 missed some serves but overall very good
spikes: 8,5/10 I think the spikes were awesome, of course there is always place for inprovement
receives: 9,5/10 overall great receives, and great timing
blocking: 7/10 they've got the timing, and the blocks are nice
Sets: 10/10 good job setter
communication: 10/10 great
communication, i loved the way they celebrated, and how they always yelled out MINE or I GOT IT
white team:
serves: 5/10 they missed some serves, and some went out, but some were also pretty good. i think they can work on them more
spikes: 4,5/10 they should really work on them more too
receives: 6/10 receives were okay buuut as i said they need to improve, cuz they missed some of the balls that they couldve gotten a lot better
blocks: 3,5/10 didnt get to see that many so i couldnt really give them something higher
sets: 4/10 they were not that good but kay
communicaton: 1/10 they shouldve been communicating more, thats one of thebreasons they lost

Jatayla Lawson she is middle back and middle back always has to get the deep ones. That wasn’t her ball it was probably either right back or left back Bc they have all the short balls. I’m a libero in high school volleyball and that’s what I’d normally do.
@@lizbethvaldez3230 I've been playing volleyball since 3rd grade. Im not use to seeing a libero being all the way to out. I know libero plays back line but for us if your in the middle back you should scoot up so I'm just gonna say we all do it different.
Yea it really depends on the rotation your coach chooses. Sometimes liberos scoot up when they are in the middle if there’s a big hitter while the other two get deeps. It’s easier for the libero to be right there and ready for the big hit (if you have a super tall girl on the other side an they can hit on the 10 foot line) than having the libero dive for it and make a bad pass for the setter
@@lizbethvaldez3230 we have two tall girlS which is me and this other one. I'm 5/8 1/2 Maybe taller I haven't checked. The other girl is 6'1 1/2. I'm the blocker and spiker and she is a spiker. Our rotation did have a libero scoot up so I was just wondering about that one

That one girl who set a serve killed me. My coach always says “You NEVER set a serve!” The team we played against a few days ago kept setting serves, and that pretty much gave us free points.
well setting a serve is never really a bad idea, as long as you can get it in the air to th setter that's pretty much all you need
its so amazing to see that all of these kids (at the time) were the same age as me!! now ik they are a lot older but its amazing to watch a volleyball game and be able to relate to it with the same iconic mistakes and teammates

I think its great that volleyball is becoming more of a popular sport because of Haikyuu and a lot of people who have watched the anime want to get into the sport because I think it's really fun :D

Recommendation again🤣 1st day of school AND Volleyball tryouts are at the first day of school. I'm going in grade 9 and even though I've been playing Volleyball in Grade 6, this is my first try out since there wasn't much people back then and inside and I KNOW that I'm really excited for tryouts but then when I think about it, it makes me nervous and shaky and I feel like I'm going to puke. I'm afraid that if I still get nervous and shaky, I will do bad and it won't be showing my best. Volleyball is my life and I don't know what I'd do without it, I honestly want this nervousness to go away and let my excited feeling out. Wish me luck and I'll update after I finish try-outs. Yo llegué a competir en Boli , todo mi equipo llegó hasta representar a Querétaro en Jalpan de Serra ...... y nos pasó lo mismo que las blancas en realidad nos pusimos muy tensas que prácticamente en el primer set que era conteo San Juan del Rio nos dimos por vencidas y en el segundo set nos derrotados muy fácil ....... contra el segundo equipo de Cadereyta nos pasó lo mismo , ya que nos quedamos triste con la primera competencia
Literal lloramos y hasta tuvo que intervenir una de las maestras de mi cq que eya también estudio y aparte de maestra es psicóloga así que con eso nos quedamos más tranquilas 😊😕

i think some people need to realize that haikyuu is VERY unrealistic and as a volleyball player whose a freshman in highschool, this really accurate as for what happens in our club/school tournaments what happens in haikyuu is what goes on in olympic teams istg some people are so judgmental volleyball is extremely hard it’s literally ten times harder than it looks serve receive especially you need tons of mental and physical strength for that these girls are obviously doing the best they can and they are perfectly normal for their age y’all are just a bunch of haters

That navy team, you can tell they get top coaches and a lot of funding. I am in eight grade just like that navy team and we get gym coaches and short sleeve plain white and plain navy jerseys. You can tell the navy team has great coaches and plenty of funding for those jerseys.
