My dogs sometimes try to hold my hand too. I’ll put my hand there, they will place theirs on top and curl their toes around mine as much as they are able. Basically an attempt to hold my hand like I sometimes hold their paws. And they will just fall asleep like this. Just wanted the reassurance of touch I guess
