- Eckhart Tolle offers practical advice on using unhappiness as a signal to return to presence and awareness. He explains that recognizing moments of unhappiness as indicators of lost presence can help individuals shift their focus back to the present moment, stopping the cycle of suffering. Eckhart Tolle emphasizes the importance of mindfulness, observing the mind, and questioning the validity of mental narratives to disengage from harmful thought patterns. By understanding and transforming one's mental processes, individuals can reduce suffering and live more harmoniously with the present moment.

I have a new line, when my brain goes into worry loops. I ask myself "What IF I didn't worry?" That then pulls me out of the loop and into the present moment. So much relief!
its exactly what I am doing! ❤
Thks for sharing
What if I didn't. So simple. Thank you
Great idea. Helpful 😊
This is great!
The Buddha taught this 2500 years ago. I believe it is one of the noble truths, the root of all suffering is attachment.
So true !
The whole evening I was upset that a good friend didn't 'Like' my WhatsApp messages. Listening to Eckhart, I realized that the suffering was only because I listened to the story told by my mind. I feel so relieved now. 🙏
Yes. What is interesting is the narrative behind: "He didn't like my messages, and that means..."
Your ego suffered from the WhatsApp business 😂
woah!!, yikes,i had no idea there are human beings concerned with this type of stuff, actually letting it affect them. how small could a life be that something like this would cause a person to be “upset the whole evening”? if that’s a problem worth giving that much attention to, what happens if something real and meaningful comes along, could a person like this even recognize or deal with it? what about things that actually matter? REAL things. i am utterly shocked that someone is wasting their energy like this. makes me really really grateful for my intelligence and knowledge of what life actually has to offer. this comment gave me a boost of confidence because im not a NPC like many obviously are. wow.
get off whatsapp and all social media immediately. what you consider problems will begin to dissolve right away
Great realisation for you happy for your peace 🙌🏼
@sonialoves444 with a comment like this you still have far to go within your concious unconscious you can tell by the way you speak about others & how knowing you are one up others give you confidence ego boost wow what's shocking is your response to someone's unconscious thinking unawareness if you really innerstand the unconscious mind you would know why people get so caught within little traps that get them upset the system we are build into doesn't allow us to self regulate so for others unfortunately are still in that mind made self don't judge others because once you were excalty like this in the state the unconscious mind still looks like you are with comments like this obviously you are not deep listener of eckart
Live from your heart not mind you mite actually find compassion within it
🤍
This is the essence of mindfulness. The hardest part is keeping the positive outlook on the moment you're in, especially when you are struggling.
Indeed. I believe that's where faith comes in. Life might not be ideal now, but with faith [and gratitude] it will keep us going until we manifest what we actually want in life 🙏
there is no struggle for You.
the struggle is made by you.
birth and death are just horizons of the mind,
always there, but never reached by You but by you.
it's not you against the world for there is only Yourld.
After 62 years of marriage, my husband and I divorced by mutual consent. The divorce went smoothly, as did the sale of the house and the division of common property. We shared everything half and half. My husband is going to another country and I am going to a nice little house in the village. I think it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I am vigilant that my mind does not lead me into destruction. Suffering. But if I'm already seduced, I pick it up fairly quickly, or come to my senses. Dear Echart, thank you for being my best teacher.
All the best, brave soul.
That's very brave of you. I hope you both have good lives while still celebrating what you shared together for so long.
I wish you many blessings on your new adventure brave soul.✨🩵

I am an overthinker, and I am more aware of this after reading The Power of Now. Of all of the "gurus" that speak on mindfulness, Mr. Tolle is my favourite. I love his message, and watching the longer videos where he is in front of an audience is a joyful exercise for me, especially when he lets his sense of humour shine. Thank you for all that you do!
To train the mind I say “ ty God” for all the little things that I become aware of during the day.
Me too!!! 🙏❤️
But you are God!
@@classicaldeb I know the True Self IS THAT but my egoic mind is still “ thinking” and it can be used to express gratitude.
Absolutely ❤🎉
Eckhart, 'The Power of Now' was a life-saver for me, so thank you so very much❤
All ypur suffering is created by your MIND! What a realisation.
When you’re in a state of just being without worries, your reality will shift. We are always manifesting, that’s how we experience reality. Your Universe supports what you believe to be true.
Reframing my thoughts has truly changed my life. That and being grateful.
Trauma reacts, Intention responds. Staying present facilitates this. Thank you Eckhart from Ireland ☘☘☘
So true but easier said than done in a triggered state.🙏🩷
Brilliant little saying I’m gonna use that, thanks 🙏🏼
What a powerful phrase! I have struggled with past trauma for years. Thank you - I will say this to myself when I find myself reacting!
So simple, in fact elegantly so, but difficult to do - it will come with practice.
It will remain difficult because you spoke those words!
2:22 virtually all your suffering is created by your mind, yes i agree, a lot of suffering can be self created/caused, and I'm glad he put in the caveat virtually, because not all suffering is caused by the mind.
Almost all suffering is created mentally, and the rest, can you even call it suffering or is it just the normal pains of life?
This man’s teaching’s are priceless.

I actually started laughing because there is so much truth in this and it is funny to realize how this plays out for me. I bring more awareness to this pattern every time.
Thank you for being here and sharing this wisdom 🙏🏾
Being awakened doesn’t mean you’re better than others, it means you’re better than yourself.
Thank you - and bless you - for these wise words… I really needed them… 🙏
@@p.moorewilson7917 I need a daily reminder of this as it's too easy to judge others for being "unconscious". ✌
Are you awakened from the maya?
@@luslinlawrence6389 awakened from identification with ego...not sure if that's what you mean.
It also means that you are able to see the best in others too. When we compare ourselves with others we are not actually awakened, even if we think we are.😊

Millions manifest sufferings.
Your unconscious mind manifests suffering.
Bring attention to the present moment.
What’s wrong with this moment? Nothing.
Stop suffering first, then you can manifest others.
From the foundation of being, you manifest others.
Reconcile being and doing. That’s your purpose.
Suffering tells you that you have lost the present moment.
Once you know that, you can come back.
Thanks Eckhart. 25 April 2024. 🍀😆🍀😆🤩💖👍🏻👍🏻🥂

Love the simplicity of Eckharts teachings. So powerful. Thanking you for uploading these to help all of us find peace. God bless you all.
There are some problems you can do something about and some you can't. What Eckhart says is ultimately true, particularly in the latter case. I have found that real situations are often balanced where you may be able to do something practical to solve it, but it is risky. It may succeed but it may not and it may make it worse. It is the old saying "grace to accept what you can't change, courage to change what you can and wisdom to know the difference.
Wow!! So simple and obvious when you here him say it,iam 62 and still feel ive got so much to learn, its crazy ❤

Power of Now is my guide book into my 70s. I have what I call a monkey mind. All over the place, add to this my addictive personality makes for a less than peaceful life. As the book says dwell more on being the silent watcher of your thoughts firstly. It sounds so simple, but the mind is clever and well trained. Finally I love his thoughts on emotions which actually means "disturbance or to stir up" Again observe no matter how painful, don't dragged into thoughts, life situations, fantasy in my case, having imaginary conversations or expectations about the future. Its all very tiring. Good luck on journey of awakening, awareness, joy and peace. Don’t try too hard. 🙏❤️
Thank You very much for the teaching and MGBY Eckhart ❤

Thank you so much
I’m not a veteran but i read a lot. and while this understanding of unhappiness helps me it makes me think, i work a desk job and find worry. it’s all perspective. for people who have seen actual combat i don’t know if it would help. i hope it would, absolutely. but the traumas we consider grave are minimal to those who fought and died valiantly, unhappiness might not even be in the vocabulary. bless our troops 🇺🇸
Love you Eckhart❤️❤️❤️
