I had the nurse to take her wedding ring set off of her finger, and I have it with me. I wear it sometimes. I miss her so much! I love you and Mark; y'all are such a blessing! Oregon does have beautiful Lilies of the Valley. When I lived in Portland, my backyard had so many of them. They smelled wonderful! It seems to be too hot in Southern Oregon, except in the woodland areas. I miss having them in my yard.

I am loving this painting.
Lily of the Valley Perfume....known as "Muguet des Bois" by Coty is a Floral Green fragrance for women. Muguet des Bois was launched in 1941. It was a favorite of my mother's era. It is clean and beautiful and feminine in fragrance. Lily of the Valley was my mother's favorite flower. I have these flowers growing in my perennial flower garden and they are heirloom flowers from her original flower garden. They come back faithfully every year and are grown in the shade of my elm tree. This perfume was also a favorite of my mother-in -law and when I see these flowers every Spring I remember both of these ladies who were part of my life for a very long time. They are in heaven now.

Lily of the valley are a huge thing in Wales, you find them growing wild on many hilltops.
My grandfather had them in his lapel the day he married my grandmother..... picked wild that morning I believe.... The other ones with little bells are snow drops and bluebells...

When I lived in Pa. I grew lily of the valleys. Smelled terrific. I have not seen them here in NC. I think they need the cool winter temps. They spread each year. They likes more shaded areas, not real sunny.

This is exactly what I was looking for! My grandmothers favorite flower. I have the only wood window pane that was intact b4 they demolished her house. It is 100 yrs old now and I have been deciding what to paint on it for 10 yrs. I knew it was going to be lily of the valley or daisies but I never imagined that I would be able to paint on it myself! I have been keeping my eye out for the right artist. Low and behold it is me! I have never been able to paint or draw in my life before (failed art miserably and never had an interest). I have only been artsy and paint since Dec of 2020. Do you have any suggestions for painting on glass? I bought a few cheap glass frames to try on 1st. Any insight would be greatly appreciated 🙏 love all of your tutorials! And the camera guy isn't too bad either 😉 thanks for sharing Angela and Mark! You guys do an amazing job of teaching us how to paint. What a great team you both are!

I just finished a little one 3 X 5 and like it , could have done better. I'm going to paint a 8 X 10. This is lovely, they really look real. I will have to watch the whole session before attempting the 8 x 10. Thank you so very much, I used to grow lilies of the valley, one of my favorites. They smell awesome.

Canada calls them Lily of the valley and they grow wild. Put a couple of plance in flower bed and they will multiply every year.

Lilly of the Valley are my favorite since i am a may girl. Suggestion? When you start another area of the painting, can you show the brush against the palm of your hand so we know which brush to use. Otherwise i enjoy the chat and the tutorial!

My favorite flowers. We have egads of them here in Minnesnowta. They spread though, so we have quite a few. I'm wanting to paint this on a 10x20 for my bedroom. I'd hang it horizontal not vertical. Do you think I can pull that off ok with just 10x20 of flowers & leaves? By the way, you can buy lily of the valley bulbs to plant. They are at all the stores right now up here. Even our Aldi has em.
