can you just study under shuyookh in masajid and get a breadth of in depth knowledge? for example in fiqh do shuyookh in masajid go over not only furoo3 but usul, qawaid, furooq, takhreej usul 3ala fal furu3, fatawa etc... Or have a scholar that takes you as a student and study these things under him? I am hoping to to come to Egypt to study after I finish my bachelors here in the west inshaAllah and if this could be done i'd rather do that than azhar, barakAllahu feek

Maybe, but it's important to find the right place and do networking as the masjids are not always open to classes without a possibility of the government shutting it down, so oftentimes the better way is individually with small groups in people’s home.
There are classes that you can find in many of the things mentioned but the pace in a place like masjid alAzhar would be very slow as it’s once a week for an hour so hiring a Shiekh is better than that and sometimes that can be done on zoom meetings if availability is limited.

How would you go about finding teachers outside of Azhar, who go through the books that you study in the university?

Feel free to email me, and I’ll see what I can do for you. Arabic teachers are a must and this can be done online overseas and then once Arabic is good that opens a ton of doors
