I can't believe we're finally doing it for real!
Amazing creation so far, Moonbo. Do you have a plan to improve your mining vehicle?
monboo add a horn to the truck
Moonbo hi
XxMR BRO GAMERxX beep boop
@@gracegarcia5641 what is wrong with you bro ?
Moonbo: this tree almost killed this poor little farmbot
Also Moonbo: kills the same little farmbot with the spud gun
Victor Middleton haha
you were right
I was about to comment the same thing lmao
*K.O*
I was just scrolling down to find if anyone said that and this was the first on the list xD
I respect your desire to play legitimately versus exploiting glitches; it is far more rewarding when you get something to work as intended.
"The trees are unrealistically heavy"
*Picks tree up with single handed tool.
I dunno man, the ones that crush houses irl seem pretty heavy.
Hey Moonbo, you can make the wood crusher turn off the blades automatically by putting a sensor and an xor gate, the sensor at the end of the thing so it detects when the piston wall is pushed in all the way. You hook up the sensor and the switch to the gate, then the gate to the engine. :)
You also can use a controller for it, and save fuel.
Connecting both engine and pistons to the same button would be easier.
Ooooooooooo that's smart
Kan, moonbo, kosmo, camodo, etc. Should do a multiplayer series together
And Scrapman!
Yea
Isaiah White how could I forget! 😂
And scrap man !!!!!!!!!!
And dieseldesign he has a legendary base and way of thinkinh
Moonbo: " I'm sick of telling people to not tell me how to play the.......did I just get a flannel shirt!!!!" 😍
Lol love it
This blows my mind. I hope it's intentional. You can weld the caged farmers too. Hope that's intentional as well.
But only after playing farmer golf for a minute or two! :D
And they are super boyant. They can't sink!
I WASTED SO MUCH TIME
Might only be on older maps because I can't weld the farmers :( I hope I can weld logs, haven't tried yet.
@saeklin there is a specific place where you can weld. It's the metal thing on the back
Moonbo that machine is awesome :D
Monsterek yea
Hell yeah brother
I haven't even watched it far enough yet and I already concur
Maybe the wood pusser a litel biger or higher
O ty kurna
Watching trees getting milled is so satisfying. I love it.
I agree Moonbo I would rather see how you play the game. Honestly that's why I'm here. To be honest you Scrapman and kAN such different experinces day one. That it is why I continue to watch you 3 play through survival.
Moonbo: cuts down tree
Also moonbo: omg we almost crushed this poor little farmbot here
Also also moonbo: proceeds to shoot the farmbot
I had the same idea😂
Victor Middleton you both commented the same thing?
Yea😂
Emrah _ Glitched maybe.(same person said same thing twice.)
I really love your method.
I'm finally at the point where i'm ready to start logging in the game and i already started work on a machine before watching anyone's machines but, i decided to take a break and do a bit of a search for what people came up with in their games.
That is how i ended up in this video and , i'm impressed.
It's crazy though, the insane amount of different ways people have come up with to gather their wood. :-D
This game is awesome.
Im trying to repeat this machine... its nice to play around with the physics and machines and stuff, got a small car with a blade on the side... very funny!
I like how just as I asked myself "I wonder if he staggered the trees how smoothly they'd feed?" You did and chunks of tree started jumping out.
That lumber mill is awesome!
I was waiting for you to make it in survival for so long now, happy you finally got around to it!

Something that might be a little more efficient is adding a saw blade to the back of the truck. Then you grab the entire tree, mount it to your truck and run the saw to cut it to length. Then you can mount the chopped off piece too. No need to move your truck around to cut in half, since you are already out of the driver's seat.
Hey Moonboo, just a suggestion. If you add a blade at the very end that is stowed below/in the trailer and comes up at the very end you could still weld and you the saw blade at the end to cut off anything that hangs out to long and just reweld anything that falls off.
Very Lucky Guy
😀😁😃😄😍

I think you are soo smart the way you play the game!! I love your videos 💙
You are so creative and inspiring!
I love too see all your different creations, and I also like that you play the game as you think is fun. With the bot crusher at the farm, all the different vehicles and now this.
Keep it up, I look forward to your videos every day!

That's why being a lumberjack is so dangerous
I'd say put a weld point on the front of the truck, like a little elbow piece at the center, then make a rig to house the sawblades and whatnot, instead of cutting holes into the truck for fairly unsightly mounting points for individual saw blade arms. Then you could also be able to hotswap attachments, so say you want the truck to cut trees, you can weld on an attachment with a bunch of saws and connect some buttons. If you want to be mining with the truck, you could do the same thing, but with drills.
I've actually seen haybots distracted by large rock bits. Like when you first break up a block of rock for resources and it splits into the 2 big rocks (which splits into 2 smaller rocks a piece which yields 1 resource log a rock piece) a haybot was running at my vehicle and then it turned and then started attacking one of those. It actually broke it in half.
i love how these videos excite me and give me something to look forward to during lockdown
Love the content Moonbo! If only I had a gaming PC, but when it's affordable I can't wait to do stuff like this!
I know the weld option was removed recently but I love the idea of a lumber mill over just an easy harvest/refine machine. If you made the feed tube a bit wider you could possibly tilt the lumber truck to just dump the logs straight into the feed tube. Raise the walls and enclose it with a ceiling hing so they don't fly out.
If you add a side pusher onto the truck then a lid to the lumber mill you might be able to speed up the process. unhook the logs form the bed of the truck then push them into the mill. A tipper could also work.
Can't tell who's my favorite so far Moonbo, Johnbane, kAN, Scrapman, or Squid
I like all of them
Don't forget Diesel, and Z1 isn't bad either! All these guys are great and worth watching just for all the crazy ideas! Especially when you stink at this game like I do!
Z1 crap
Imagine a Multiplayer Monday with all seven! The insanity might break the game.

Your videos gives me so much inspiration for when I play this game! The creativity in this game is endless! Love your videos!
I loved that little rant in the beginning, :D also the mill is AWESOME!
Sometimes you just need to vent! lol
WOW! im impressed!! Thanks for that, cutting tree in lumber was the worst thing for me , as my truck couldnt ever get the log right! but now im going to change my whole set-up!
Oh wow awesome. The truck could use some work to make it easier to take the logs off though but gotta say looking forward to trying this myself.
Scrap man- takes a few hours to make a car that break trees
Moonbo- *Completly makes a tree refinery system*
I love the way you play survival. You make the creations look so amazing.
Cool idea. It’s nice to see people playing the game so differently.
To be true, all this welding and so on costs a lot of time. I can get the same amount of wood done with my temporal solution. ;) But not bad at all.
My suggestion, skip the last part, rebuild your sawmill a little bit with an additional side feeder and redesign your truck to a dump truck being able to unload to the side.
Do you actually have to disconnected the tree from the pusher before you start it? once the last section comes into contact with the blades, seems like it would disconnect when the log changes state to cut pieces. just a thought, I haven't built this thing yet.
i have a same question and i need an answer
It probably would effect the pistons, perhaps even make then glitch out
yes,yes he did, as demonstrated in the video multiple times
@@uggranpops8442 yeah, I think you misunderstood my question. I asked what happens if you Don't disconnect it. Moonbo disconnected it every time. It may glitch out, as Andrew suggested. Was just curious if it was a necessary step.
@@Dreigned ahhh that's actually a very interesting question
sorry about that
Probably the most creative, most awesome invention I've seen for scrap mechanic survival so far
Next maybe build your own base, and make it very cool...
I would love to see that Moonbo...
I'll be building a base soon, it's going to take a lot of grinding!
If you plan on refining multiple trees at once, it should go a little easier if the back wall was a little taller. Great build either way.
you should put a roof on it, that way the logs dont fly out, and maybe a little bit more walls, just to guide it better
I think a good rule to see what is intended to be picked up/welded would be if you can't place it on the lift, you shouldn't weld it.
1. It's a flannel shirt with a fleece liner not a jacket (I live in Washington state, we're very touchy about our flannel).
2."I can't get over how unrealistically heavy these trees are", have you ever hauled a 50-foot spruce tree before? you're not going to budge a 10-15 ft. section of tree with a sledge hammer.
3. The people that comment with criticisms on how you play are nerd's like me who are bothered by inefficiencies, It bothers us when we see someone using a method that wastes their time, and as someone like you that has to worry about recoding time, I think you can appreciate that. I know It bothers you when people try and tell you what to do, but I thought you might want to know the other end of...part...or the story.
, love your videos

Moonbo! You can place blocks with the vacuum pump, try placing cardboard block on the pusher and making it destroy with a spud gun so you dont have to destroy it and you can jut weld and its automated
i wonder if you actually need to break the weld when feeding the trees, or if it being fed through the saws breaks the weld for you. might save time.
So... I did this, too; but I wanted to compact it. I got it down to 1 saw blade on a piston, 3 sets of 7wide wheel stacks, 2 on pistons. Weld it behind the blade, activate, it almost autofeeds (had to lift/lower blade & innermost week set manually) the entirety of any tree.
Set it up on a truck W collectors, refiner, chests, bobcat, so I chopped then straight to the mill.
I just said cheers to you and Jungkook cup of coffee you are a good person you don't need cheats
I don't even think he needed to unweld the tree because at the end of its cycle it's pressed against the saw blades
Really cool build, my lumber mill doesn’t work as well as this, thank you for the help!
I was literally building one and was about to crate a big crane like vehicle but then your video came out 🤦🏾♂️ that’s freaking dope
You could add an Exclusive OR gate and put the piston switch to that.. then a sensor which acts as a switch to it too.. then the sensor on top of the pusher and detect a color at the end... so when it has reached the end - it retracts automatically. Also, I would've added it to the truck just so you don't have to go back and forth... ie: a split cab design so the tree can fall right into the bed. Then the chomping bit in the back, a lift gate at the front which rotates up then pushes back into the blades. Also a bearing drive double supported to avoid glitching and free fuel.
Also, not showing the final after the refineries are done is meh.
Idea: make a base out of the redwood trees themselves, I don't think farmbots can get through them
I respect the no glitch philosophy, Keep scrapping
@Moonbo
Make the truck the same length as the mill. Then place a saw or manualy break to clean up the end peices. 😁
Now all you have to do is find a way you can store loose logs that autofeed using sensors and rotary feeders into the sawmill to process :)
I appreciate that you don't use glitches . I feel the same way.
Amazing machine for sure. Does the tree roll in? Can you try make a ramp to roll the trees in the machine? Maybe put a stopper at the end of ramp to control the input so you can load lots of trees on the ramp if it's a possible thing
I love the entire idea of this so cool,my only issue is if you get the stump doesn't that stop the tree from growing back
You just gave me a super good idea from looking at your setup thanks so much. gathering wood got on my nerve some times
Thank GOD someone finally said what you prefaced your video with. I'm so tired of seeing people going to other youtubers playing this game and asking them to do the same glitches and concepts. They aren't even interesting in the first place, and telling or asking them to do that is downright silly.
*Slaps roof of truck* This baby can fit so many trees/packs/farmers in it.
I was wondering, wouldn't it be easier to just move the button to the back of the truck, so you can open the tailgate when you're standing next to it?
I love how those sawblades are angled, btw!
Daang. I thought this would be very inefficient, being able tk weld the trees is very useful. Cool! :D
You are the most creative Scrap Mechanic Survival player I've ever known
If you want. Can you build a hammer powered boat?
Moonbo: I don’t want to use glitches.
Also moonbo: I don’t know if this is a glitch or not but I’ll use it.
Me: it’s a glitch that u can weld the bottoms of trees.
You have confirmed that it's a glitch?
I was thinking the same thing ;-) but we all play the game how we want so its ok... ;-)
That is a really cool lumber mill Moonbo!! Well done :)
i remeber when you make a log one in creative. now you've done it legit. It's so amazing to see something old so revamped and improved.
You should make the lumber mill with gravity so the trees go down a shoot and into saw blades that way nothing can fly out
I did not know this. This is damn useful. I need wood for my boat. 😂
You can use those cages, they float more than anything
I really like the concept of this lumber mill. It could probably be easily expanded to allow crushing more trees at once. The only thing I'm personally not a fan of, there is still a lot of manual work involved with the whole welding logs, remove blocks and what now. But still cool regardless.
I don’t know if you will see this but I suggest making a glass box around the mill and make a opening door/ window near the pistons where you can weld the trees in, this will stop trees falling out and you could still see the mill
I love the lumberjack sweater
this whole welding trees is gonna make for interesting new treehouse designs
the lumberjack jacket looks the best in my opinion with the glasses and some gray pants also computer backpack
I like your saw mill! Maybe adding some rollers underneath the wood would make it faster for the big logs? You could do that with some free bearings and pipe pieces
You should eventually make the mill wider (maybe 16 blocks?)and weld the trees to the wall thing in the truck and have the wall thing be connected to the truck via one block you can then maybe weld the wall thing with all the trees on the wide mill and process them all at once
Imagine a vertical cutter on a vehicle. Cut the base, weld to the underside of a tall platform, let it loose to fall into a verticle chute directly to sawblades at the bottom...
"This tree almost crushed this poor little farmbot"
Pulls out rifle
"But failed, and that is something I won't do"
YES!! Finally someone else that thinks that build a movable full sawmill is not a great idea
your way of getting wood is the best
Yes finnaly!
Idea. Make the payload in the front with arms that hug the tree so when it falls it falls into the cart then have a way to manually push it off the cart right into the lumber mill
Moonbo is like a real Lumberjack
All I could think if while watching this is that you could make an awesome log cabin.
Maybe you can do this layout on the truck, and let just the saws, bots and chests in the floor? putting those pistons on the truck with another layer of wall and make them push directly to the saws, changing the actual height ofc
Hey moonbo, why not add like magazine to the lumber mill, so after the piston retracts another log just drops in to place? Then you just unload all the logs at once and refine them one after the other
Moonbo is the Mumbo Jumbo of scrap mechanic
Moonbo: we almost crushed this poor little farmbot.
Also Moonbo: *kills the same farmbot with a spud gun*
Me: 🤨
love your videos moonbo.
Love your vids
Fun fact if a tree is too big for your hammer after it falls, you can weld the tree to a block
I actually typed this before the video started 💀💀
Because physics
Actually u can just hammer the trees even if it says too big xD I think that's a bug
@@Zomolith lol😂👌🏽
Moonbo is an amazing mecanic
Your machines are very good , and I don’t use the glitches , I enjoy the game so much now .
Moonbo: The tree still exists in some way.
Me: Well yeah, that's how things work.
P.S. I know what he meant, this was only a joke I thought of when I heard him say that.
This makes me think if you could actually build a log cabin....
Also thinking about designs for rock crushers... either a funnel of drills and drop them in or also a piston pressing them into a wall of drills.
so dope!!!
Awesome! Nice work!
Me: hears moonbo talk about the giant redwood
Also me: looks in the background of the sawmill and sees a HUGE tree._.
