  • The real estate industry in Eastleigh, Nairobi, is one of the fastest-growing business investments, attracting private investors from Kenya and around the world.
This is due to the area's rapid urbanization and high housing demand.
Eastleigh has grown from a run-down neighborhood to a commercial hub in Nairobi, Kenya, thanks to constant construction and change over the last two decades.
Visitors who visited Eastleigh more than 20 years ago , would find a very different place than they did before the millennium.
And, given a large number of ongoing projects, it appears that change is just getting started.

I love that Eastleigh is changing for the better, however i dont like the planning and the architecture. We are creating urban jungles without regard for stuffs like natural lighting, most houses wont be receiving sunlight, no areas for our children to play. Ultimately it will affect our health. We need proper planning, not this random building standards we have at the moment.

I spent a lot of time in Eastleigh in the last month and I fell in love with the place. I didn't live there but went there a lot. While the roads are bad, there is open sewer everywhere, and it is crowded as well, I have to say the place is still headed in the right direction. You can find literally anything there and you will find it cheaper there than anywhere else in the country, maybe even the region.

They can afford to "export" jobs to far off China for cheap labour and efficient chains of production. In Africa,we don't have such luxury and can't sustainably afford it long-term. With proper policies and investments, we can produce just as cheap and as efficient as China.
China was at parity with most African countries in the 60s and 70s and it's out of their zeal and focus that they've managed to leapfrog into 1st world economy within a generation.

I believe the Somali community work together due to Islam. Their primary focus on focus in life is Faith, Family, and Financial stability. Also, contrary to the lies and distortions against Islam by the establishment media and now by the so called "alternative media" as well, Islam is NOT a new religion. In fact, Jesus and all the other Prophets in the Bible were Muslims. Here's the proof…
      1. Islam = Submission/Peace.
      2. Muslim = One who submits to God peacefully.
      3. Prostration = The ultimate way to submit to your Creator.
      4. Muslims Prostrate by placing their heads on the ground to worship God.
So how did Jesus and all the other Prophets prayed to their Lord in the Bible? Let’s take a look...
      5. Jesus
      Matthews 26:39
39 "Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed"
      6. Abraham
      Genesis 17:3
3 "And Abraham fell on his face: and God talked with him."
      7. David
      1 Samuel 20:41
41 “David got up from the south side of the stone and bowed down three times, with his face to the ground.”
      8. Moses and Aaron
      Numbers 20:6
6 "...they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them."
      9. Joshua
      Joshua 7:6
6 “…fell facedown to the ground before the ark of the Lord, remaining there till evening. The elders of Israel did the same, and sprinkled dust on their heads.”
      10. Solomon
      2 Chronicles 7:3
3 "…they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, ‘He is good; his love endures forever.”
      11. Ezra
      Nehemiah 8:6
6 "Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, “Amen! Amen!” Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground."
      12. Revelation 7:11
11 "All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God."
Muslims are just continuing what all the previous Prophets and Messengers in the scriptures did by submitting to Allah only.
May Allah continue to have MERCY us, continue to PROTECT us, continue to FORGIVE us, continue to GUIDE us, and continue to BLESS us.
      Take care.

Very true. Just few weeks ago a small child in his home was killed by debris falling from the constructed building because his home was smaller than the one being built. There are no regulations for safety by any authority. The buildings are not watered as much or less cement is used , often they do more sand which makes the building crack just in the first year. So I believe it’s a disaster waiting.
