Fabulous! Do you need to use the ink pad or can you put it on with a roller? Thanks. 💐
Mary Justin you can use a rubber brayer to apply the ink as well! Just drop a puddle of ink on a non porous surface, like a plastic plate, then brayer through giving it a few rolls and then brayer it onto the surface of your stamp design :)

I received my very first IOD stamps today and am already confused. So I pulled up this video to help. Instructions on my package say,,, BEFORE REMOVING from backing, condition the stamps with sandpaper. How is that possible? I have the Block Type words which I will use separately and the whole page alone. Do I put it on the backing after it’s washed and dried? Is there a better video to help me. It always seemed so simplistic to until I read these directions. TY
Hi there! So they come on a backing sheet with a thin sheet over the top of them. You can remove the top sheet but keep them on the backing for sanding them. It doesn't take much to condition them and it will be easier to do it all as a unit on the backing. I will also link you to our stamping 101 page on our website. So there's only two plastic sheets, one that comes off to reveal the stamp, and the other the stamps are actually on? Then I scuff them, cut what I want, ink it, and I"m done?@@IronOrchidDesigns

So how to clean the sheet or are they not reuseable?
Gentle dish soap and water will clean them easily. You can use your hand or a soft toothbrush to get into the stamp details.
I'm feeling a bit disheartened,I've tried ink,paint and acrylic paint for the stamps and they look lovely, but the minute I go to seal them it smudges and looks awful , I've even left it to dry for days,please help what Am i doing wrong ☹
philippa swallow ......did you heat set your design with an iron?
Philippa, if you are applying the stamps to a wood surface, can you seal with a spray product such as Polycrylic?

When I search for IOD stamps, all I seem to find are small ones not large like you are using.
