Everyone had either a Honda 50 mini trail, or a CT 70, in my neighborhood, except me. I inherited my brother's YamaDog DT 100. Great memories

I had an XR75 ...good bike. The I got a YZ80..then a KX80! The '85 KX80 was heads & shoulders above all else. The YZ80 was very old tho! I'm a YAMAHA & Kawasaki guy to this day.

@@Davido50 We had an old retired man named Mr Taylor who fixed lawnmowers, motorcycles, small engine repair. He had a YZ 80 and a couple Sears mini bikes he'd let us borrow while he fixed ours. That thing would fly, he had bored it out and tuned perfectly. We had it made but didn't know it. Wish I could turn back the clock.

I remember taking my 1st motorcycle driving test on a CT70H in 1972, all that was required by the CA DMV back then was that the bike being used had to have a manual clutch.
The rest is history some 50 years later! I will be 65 this summer.
    Cool survivor bike pictured here!

I had one when I was a kid 1980 and I remember I could get a top speed of 25mph. I had the 3 speed auto. I used to jump the bike in a field where there was a berm. Field is gone now, there's a BIGO tire shop and gas station.
Fill that baby gas tank for under a dollar back in 1980 Lol. Memories.

That is the first bike I ever owned, same year, color and all. My dad got it from a co-worker in the mid 90's and got it running for me to learn to ride. Starting with a clutch straight away was the best thing I could have done. never had to struggle learning it later like my friends did. Gave it away year's later to a friend once the engine was worn out. Had I known how rare these would become, especially the H models, I would have kept it! Couldn't give these away in the 90's when I was growing up. Crazy how things change.

My first motorcycle was a yellow Honda 50 with the folding handlebars. It was bulletproof...never any problems with it. My Dad gave to a friend of his and then bought me a silver XR 75. From there I traded up to a Honda MR 175. Love your channel...it's brought back so many great memories.

Had a few dings on it, but was in good shape. I'd love to own another one. I'm 66 now. I was 13 when I got mine. Had a lot of good times riding...great memories.

I love Daytona, been going every year since for many decades. Aunt Catfish is a great place to eat at. I highly recommend Ocean deck also. Down the Hatch at Inlet Harbor was excellent for many years and then took a downhill turn but seems to be doing good again. A lot of Daytona race car drivers have been there and left autographed pictures. Watch the boats come in as the sun sets and listen live music that is usually really good.
