I just got a fender 73 strat in LPB and i oh nearly injoy my Ibanez more
It's coil splits. Coil taps can only happen in a single coil pickup when you tap or shut off part of the coil lowering the out-put of the pick up. a split happens when you split a humbucker from two coils to a single coil pick up. Lots of people get this wrong. Great video.

Great video but I would try one first. I have one and the fret work is pretty ordanary. No matter how the neck is adjusted you'll find you won't get the action as low as other RG models.I have a Gio that plays better with super low action out if the box. No fret buzz and beautiful sounding pickups. Try before you buy but be aware of the neck of the action is high past 12th fret.
Great guitar, i have this guitar with the with a proper set up it plays great, tremolo issued nothing to worry, can be fixed, so its awesome guitar, great video

What do you mean is it a five position selector switch or only a three
@@scottykingdavid It has a separate switch that disables one half of each humbucker, so when that switch is engaged, the pickups sound like single-coils.

This guitar reminds me of cort g280x
Both are propably made in the same factory in Indonesia. Cort builds all the Premium & Iron Label Ibanez models down there. They also build guitars for the import series, for pretty much every big name guitar brands, like ESP/LTD or PRS SE or Ola Englund´s Solar Guitars.

For this price point, it should have at least come w/ a Edge Zero II Trem and not their bargain basement DL trem. Their DL's are horrible. Only good thing about them is the Original Floyd Rose and Gotoh (just need to either put on a smaller block, or not put the back plate on) are perfect drop in replacements.
What do you think is bad about them? I'm considering this guitar.
@@godofrainbows I said what was bad.. you'll need to replace the trem eventually but gotohs and Original Floyd Rose fits perfectly. And if you want a really great sounding guitar upgraded pups. These guitars can be amazing with those upgrades. I just think for the stock guitar they're asking to much money for it.
I have a brand new 510 Gotoh trem, that came out of a Charvel pro mod...Do you think that 510 Gotoh would drop in there? I'm curious because I just ordered a mint blue one of these guitars today. Couldn't pass up this deal lol I also have a really good condition Floyd rose special that I never had a problem with? I could drop that in there, worse case, if this trem is really as bad as everyone is saying? @@ryant3600
I have one, the fret work was a terrible mess out if the box some even not tapped in. The action at nut is high and uncomfortable to play. I've done so much work to it and it's kind of ok but I wouldn't recommend buying one. Honestly, spend your money on something else.

My opinion : very nice guitar that has a Tremolo arm but this arm was not visible in the video 😀 actually very annoying but this happens in many videos !
Got one and I’m changing the tremolo system to a Floyd rose, for sustainability. With that simple mod, the $900 Ibanez will sound like a $1400 Ibanez.
Youre gonna have to throw it away once we hit winter.

I just bought 2 Harley Benton Fusion-T roasted neck, SS frets, EMG's, locking tuners, etc for $670 total! Superior woods to this Ibanez $800+tax . I've owned Ibanez in the past and excellent guitars, but the $$$ price is not worth it these days! Nor are Fenders and just about every guitar brand...

I've got this model. To be honest, it really doesn't have the best FR style tremolo Ibanez has to offer. Which is a bit disappointing for that price. I'm thinking of switching the trem for a Schaller, hoping it fits. But the Ibanez trem stays in tune if you handle it with care... The guitar feels and plays fantastic, the sound of the Dimarzios is very enjoyable.

@@fabiostinco Azul e dourada? Acho que não vi nenhuma assim. Se for de braço roasted maple, e da linha RG, então é uma das novas High Performance de 2020. Tem a RG421 HPAH-BWB num azul que lembra a cor do espaço, com os caps Fusion Edge da DiMarzio no braço e ponte, ambos dourados.
Aaah na verdade, tem uma RGA nova, também introduzida em 2020 nessa série High Performance, é uma RGA na cor Laser Blue com Ponte e Caps dourados (Fusion Edge também). RGA42HPT o modelo.
@@fabiostinco e essa de madeira que vc falou deve ser a RG421 HPAM-ABL, mt linda também, mas acho aquele headstock preto mt nada a ver com a pintura do corpo, fica bem estranho. Mesma configuração dessa do vídeo, mas com ponte fixa e chave seletora de 5 posições ao invés de 3 + coil tap switch.
