ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN
Lips Like Sugar
Live at Show TV-BBC
"Rock Around the Clock" - 1986
Wow, they ripped that to shreds! Awesome tune by Echo and The Bunnymen. Thanks so much for posting this. The young folks of today need to continue to discover REAL music of the 80's,,,,,,
I can't tell you how much I agree with you. What they listen to can't even be designated as "music."
I'm 19 and echo and the bunny men is the best with joy division and u2
this is implying fake music exists... I think any music is real lol
@@dollienan I'm sorry but no sorry but new music is a pile of shit tbh they are just laptop screens atleast 80s and 90s bands aculky took the time to make good music
@@RageBar you should check out Parquet Courts
That voice and band....so good
I saw this live - Rock Around the Clock was a great BBC experiment which was never repeated. E&TB played everyone else off stage and this sounds as good today as it was then. Big up to Les P on bass - whadda guy
yep, remember staying up as a teenager to watch it through. We didn't have a video recorder so it was watch it or never see it..... how was I to know this thing called the internet would happen....
I wish I was 19 years old again. Best best music of my life.
Wow, Ian playing like he actually gave a damn! Will hammers out one hell of a solo as well. I saw them the summer of 87 with New Order and OMD. Excellent live show.
Saw a show a couple of ears back, Ian didn’t have a guitar, sang with a cigarette in one hand and a glass of whiskey in the other. Kind of sad, like he was annoyed at having his cocktail hour interrupted.
I saw the same tour in NYC in 87.
The 80's. You're young and have dreams of making Utopia. Then life happens.
My favorite...love it...outstanding version!!!❤❤
I love them I like the one when hes older and he has a cigarette so kool with a k ! Lol
well hello...
I'M 67, and my hairstyle is just like Ian's..of course with added hair color to knock out the grey.
OORAH, SEMPER fi!!! This song still kicks ASS!
I met eco and the bunnyman at live concert canada. Dynamic sound and progressive filling. That was great
That was unreal! perfeto!
Grace on the watter… What a band. What a sound!
This version is kinda genius.
awesome❤❤❤❤❤
The bassist was killing it!
Wow! Thanks a zillion for posting!
The Bunnies: one of the most really brilliantly talent bands that I ever had the pleasure of witnessing live (and this proves it!).
Wow, they took all the studio gloss of the LP version off and made it even better!
Just absolutely greater than I've ever heard it before, fabulous I wish I could have seen them alive!
yes!!
So much better than the boring studio version. Never liked the song. Now I love it.
This was a good year before the album came, they played the game before which was much better than album too
@@ronschneiberg5793 oops you mean “live.” And after Covid pandemic is less of a threat so that concerts can continue, Mac will be touring. So you will have a chance. He never stopped never stopped never stopped never stopped.
MIND BLOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!🎤🎼🔊
the slightest little touch to his pink guitar and plays that lovely tune.. love this song especially this version!
Timeless.............................................
I love😍💞🎶🎧this version, one of my favorites ☺️

Superb - great guitar rifts

Superb -I seen them live at the tramlines festival in Sheffield a brilliant performance

Pioneers for Alternative!
😘 😘 😘 sugar kisses
I love the lips like sugar!!!! Sonzasso!!!!
Nice!
Wow
no need for sunglasses :) what a band !!!
This was great. I still prefer the studio version. I like the song better with the hook. Would be curious to know if this was recorded before or after they released this on a record.
This performance was in 1986, one year before the record was released.
Im 51 GUY from CT USA , @!$#@#$#@$%$# SWEEETTTTTTTTTTTT I WANT MY MTV 1981 -1992 !!!
Never like the version on the album. This is so much better. Sounds like earlier EATB with some energy. Love it!
Estupenda rola me encanta
Luis Pacheco Zamora me encanta mucho también, 😉✌️✌️👍
i am sure this is the second part to the show, the game was also a good rendition too (he refered to it at the start didn't he or am i mistaken).it's worth looking for as well.
I had a choice Boingo or Bunnymen. I regret my choice.
They seemed a bit lit up but still a damn good show; the best kind.
The greatest fight song of all time, it makes me want to go back 45 years and find my high school bully…. Lol
Such a great fucking band.
Sensacional!! Vídeo maravilhoso!!
Ian is playing a pink thinline Tele! Jealous!
yessssss same here!!! 😻😻😻
Man they fucked this song up 7 ways from Sunday.
It was a new song at the time, hadn’t even been released. They didn’t fuck it up, it just wasn’t completed
Early style...
Bigger than other new-ro bands, I can tell you that
07-17-19 won't load.
Is Pete playing drums in this one ?
Yes, he had returned.

Should have sung at least one chorus with the title of the song guys, you left out that hook the entire song, don’t overthink it…
What the hell is wrong with you people, this version sucks lmao.
Hate this version...I hate when artists get so tired of the song that they've played hundreds of times that they feel the need to embellish and tool around taking a piss out of the composition that made them world famous. Ian is famous for this 'bite the hands that feeds' demeanour.
This clip is from the BBC's Rock around the Clock special in September 1986 which was nearly a year before the recorded version came out. I personally much prefer this version.
The way I see it, this was the song that the band really wrote, before a producer decided what would sell in America, and I personally prefer it as it has much of the urgency of the live Bunnymen of the mid 80s.
@@Michael-TJ I remember watching it and taping bits on an old VHS. Was a massive bunnymen fan back then and saw them several times.
Do you even like the Bunnies, have you ever seen them live? If so, you wouldn't make such negative comments. And if not, what exactly does your comment try to prove? It has nothing to do with the a
Graeme Kirk exactly !

Fantastic!
