    NB: I realise there was no mention of the general regulation: hammer blow, let-off, drop screw, etc. This is because it was not significantly bad compared to the other issues; it was probably done when the piano was refaced several years ago.

    Many thanks for sharing your restoration techniques. I’ve just picked up a 1905 J&J Hopkinson, which is in unbelievably good condition. It’s straight-strung, so will never be the best sounding piano, however, the veneer and carving of the case will certainly make it one of the most beautiful!
    I am going to restore this beauty as well as I possibly can to save a little piece of history and, hopefully, learn to play the piano , too.
    I’ll be revisiting your videos!
