I sprained my finger hitting your video to watch. You picked up some of the most beautiful things. That shawl you got, check to see if the edges are hand stitched, because if they are that would indicate that it's a Victorian mantel shawl, they did tie-dying back then too and they're hard to find. Loved that fancy teapot a bowl. I soooo wish we had things like that here in South Australia 😩 it's so unfair!!! Brett did an awesome job too and I heard the Titanic theme song being whistled😁. Love to you both xx

I went to a flea market last weekend and passed on a dragon tea set with geisha pictures in the bottom of the cups (it was $45 and the sugar bowl had been smashed and reglued) still wish I had got it..

I’m still very shy about it but money is getting tight for me lately so push finally came to shove and I’ve had to bite the bullet lol I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask though! It just makes me feel awkward cuz I know they’ll counteroffer and it’ll be like a game of tug of war 😂 I dislike any form of conflict, even if it is just over a price. Wow! What a great market! How did you acquire all of your knowledge about all of your antiques?
The honest answer - lots of trial and error 😂 consistently putting myself out there and attending shows and antique stores does help, it’s definitely a never-ending learning experience but that’s half the fun! Talking to vendors and people in the businesses helps me come out of my own “collectors realm” as well :)
I can’t wait until about around September when the Wisconsin Northern state fair announces if and when they are having the antique show here at the fair grounds in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. And they usually have it in October/November and I remember one of the dealers there that brings items in specializes in old maps cause that’s mainly what the one dealer brings while another one would bring in pretty antique hair combs and silver antiques.
Now that was a market wow. We don’t have those in Australia 😥

Ashley we have finally caught up on all of your videos. We stumbled across your videos watching other CZcams thrifters. We went to the beginning and it was fun to watch your videos and your talents mature. You have great fun with your videos and the time and effort you put into them shows. You stand out with your little scenic intros, price guessing game, out-takes of displayed purchases just to mention a few. Keep it up!! We will most definitely be going to the Elkhorn Flea Market when our travels come that way and then make a stop in Volo as well. Just as a funny observation in this video watch starting at marker 21:53 to 22:19 when you are modeling the wedding dress. Question How do you clean all your owls?
Usually they’re clean enough to just go right on the wall but if they’re dusty I give em a good shaking outside. I only have had to spot-clean one with a towel and soapy water. If they stink, I’ll usually let them sit outside for a bit and then give them a nice dash of linen spray ❤️
