- A very time consuming hunt finally comes to an end. I'm glad I can finally show off a shiny roamer after an estimated 600 hours of hunting. It still feels strange that it's actually over, even after it has been a couple of days since Raikou decided it was time to shine. This is definitely my most prized shiny, and I'll let Raikou roam for a while before catching it.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who spared some of their time to stop by the streams and encourage me to continue the grind. Some of you have been watching the roamer hunt since the beginning, and that has been a really humbling experience. This shiny is as much yours as it is mine.

Thanks man. I’m happy it’s over, but it will take time to adjust to the non roamer life. I really couldn’t think of a name in the moment, but it was satisfying letting Raikou know what I thought of it.

Ya know, this video reminds me of the time I was working as a porter for the Bridges Company trying to connect cities across America to the chiral network. Oh boy! My BB and I had some great times. Actually, this is probably more like the time I was infiltrating an island off of Alaska codenamed Shadow Moses and trying to stop FOXHOUND from using Metal Gear REX to bring about nuclear war. Ya know what... now that I’m thinking about it more, this is actually more akin to the time my father had to undertake spec ops missions in Afghanistan to help rebuild Mother Base and uncover the espionage being carried out by his enemy Skullface.

I am getting annoyed not getting it in a dynamax adventure after like 100 raids but seeing this makes me realize i need to be patient lol. I did have a hunt like this for munchlax in platinum that went to 30k as well but yours takes 4 times as long per SR so major congrats dude!

I dont have a 2nd game to trade over a swinub, so would it be okay to hunt the roamers without a pokemon to KO the roamers?
If you only have one game, I would suggest using the pokegear to check the position of the roamer manually so that you avoid running into the same roamer multiple times. I’ve never done this myself, but I know of some people who have done this method. Good luck 👍
If its okay to ask how are you recording DS gameplay?
I use a ds capture card which is a hardware mod from 3dscapture.com
If you ko them but battle e4 will they come back
So if i wanted to hunt suicune would i need to go to the tower and play through the whole game just for a chance to see if its shiny?
Suicune is a static encounter in the kanto section of the game. You can just save in front of it and reset until you get it

im guessing the mamoswine was ev trained for attack and speed? also do you know how resetting a kod beast works? just beat the e4 and it goes back to the tower? id like to do this hunt mainly for raikou but if entei shines i cant say no
For EV training, I only focused on attack since you always get the first move in the roamer battle.
Hunting a KO’d beast is possible, but extremely tedious. You would have to defeat the E4 ever reset since that’s the only way to spawn the roamer you didn’t catch. It doesn’t go back to the tower.

@@CPUBLUE yesterday i spent hours catching swinub, ev training and levelling it. today i started the hunt and raikou shone in 64 resets. insane. my mamoswine took longer to make than raikou did to shine lmao super lucky

For some reason, after my cut scene, my roamers go to other routes. Not 37. What did I do wrong ?
They move around the map. They aren't always going to be on that route, so that's why you have to cross between the entrance and exit of the route to get the roamers to move.

There technically is a way, but it’s not very pleasant. If you knock out the roamer, it will respawn when you beat the elite 4. Unfortunately, the game auto saves when you enter the hall of fame which means you will need to beat the E4 every reset.
It’s not a method I recommend, but it technically is possible. Hope this helped and thanks for the congrats.
CPUBLUE thanks for the super fast reply just got up to the tower and I got my shiny bayleef and a shiny golbat so far and wanted to go for the roamers so thanks for letting me know
CPUBLUE and also do you know if i would have to save before I even enter the elite 4 or I would just have to save before I beat lance since the game auto saves right after you beat lance
@@MrRuff-tr7fi It doesn't matter where you save since you'll have to save entering the hall of fame.
If you want to check to see if the Roamer is shiny, then you will have to beat the E4, enter the hall of fame, then check the roamer. Resetting at this point would send you back to your house.
CPUBLUE OH I think I get it now is it like beat the elite 4 check the roamer if it’s shiny knock it out if it’s not then beat the elite 4 again check the roamer again and continue the process until it’s shiny

If you wish to hunt the roamers, then I would recommend resetting so that you can save before the cutscene. It's up to you though

Can someone explain to me why it is necessary to KO the pokemon just to restart? why not just restart the game?
Knocking out the first roamer you see each reset eliminates the possibility of encountering it again if you’re trying to check both Entei and Raikou. It’s basically a time saver if your goal is to check both each reset
