  • One of the most horrific Kings ever to rule over England was Henry VIII, who is remembered for executing 70,000 people inside of his Kingdom including two of his own wives. The King despite the chaos died peacefully in 1547 and he then was buried inside of St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle however there was a rumour that his body exploded when it was inside of Syon Abbey. The rumours states that even dogs licked at this. But is this true?

Please....please don't start doing the "shocked face" thumbnail trend. It was never good and tarnishes content that can speak for itself.

I'm a floral designer and deal with the funeral homes..if he was embalmed , organs removed, and stuffed..not sure why he would explode. Yes liquid may sep but there should be no blood if he was embalmed. But what do we truly know..I've been on scene of exploded bodies, it's very nasty indeed

Explosion of a body following abdominal and thoracic cavity evisceration is a folktale. However, yes, the leaking of saponified fats and blood tissue quite probably did happen.

Errata. You said he wanted to be buried with his FINAL wife - Jane Seymour. His final wife was Catherine Parr - Jane Seymour was his third wife.

This is so amateurish and confused that it needs taking down and re-writing -- if you really MUST.
It would be a good idea to get your Cromwells right and look up the exact definition of the word "brutal".
Better still, get a proper job.
