Thank you, Anna. It is indeed a compliment! Peace & quiet is an elusive state if you're an ambitious person, which Elle is. Maybe Vander can't relate, but for the busy people who can: Peace is something we find sporadically, during vacations. Deep contentment is much rarer, and Elle seems to have found that. For example, one might not have much peace as a new parent, but that new parent can be wildly happy! So cheers to her and family!

Some ppl rationalize their delusion to such a degree they pass as psychos.
Why on earth would they not wish someone peace. Cringe.

You might not be able to relate, but there are 50+ others who do: Ambitious people are perpetually drawn to new challenges. There is very little peace in striving to achieve. Life never gets easier, only more complex. But you start to realize that deep contentment can coexist with that lifelong climb when you have the things that matter: a family you love, and a fulfilling career. That's when you know you've found true happiness. Elle found it. I hope you find it someday. Maybe it'll turn you into a kinder person.

Oh my heart...as I sit here grinning so hard at this incredibly sweet and beautiful baby girl I started to think how long have I known you ? I came up with about 8 years I think. I just couldn’t be happier for you and your husband and your sweet Momma 💕
That was me that suggested the comfy chair in your room, the story about your rocker in the nursery was wild, that’s hilarious how heavy that chair is, lol. I’m sure you’ll figure something out for a comfy feeding / snuggling chair in your room... what do they say ? Necessity breeds invention? Or some such thing :)
Enjoy these amazing days in this most special time of your life. Having my son is the best thing to ever happen in my life, I wish I could have given him a sibling but, I was 44 when I had him and a very high risk, he came 8 weeks early and our doc said after the scariest time was passed...”that’s it Momma no more babies are coming from that tummy”.
I had begun to loose all hope I’d even have one, so...his Dad and I gave thanks for our sweet little miracle baby and, he’s got plenty of cousins to play with :)
I also loved your heartfelt wrapping chat and...um, I mean this in the most loving way...I volunteer my services before next Christmas to give you a few Christmas wrapping tips ;) haha

There is a trick for hiccups. I know it will sound super weird even for me when i first heard it but try it and it works. Even if baby doesn’t seem cold, if they have hiccups they are. Put on a layer either a blanky or socks or anything extra and within 5 min they are gone.

I meant to add to my comment that when you were talking about making a new life and your satisfaction in your career. That It really is an amazing quality to have, resilience, motivation, belief in yourself and hope. Those qualities really can take you far in life, as you have proved. it seems fitting that you have a daughter as I know you will install those qualities in her.
