I needed to hear that. I’m coming from bass fishing and yankin lips off
I'm still trying to cross eyes when I set the hook on a trout. It's a hard habit to break for sure!!
This was a great to the point video!! I’m a beginner ( somewhat) fly fisherman. When I go fly fishing I start off with traditional flies and if that does not work I change over to egg and San Juan worm flies. I catch good trout on those two flies but when I do, every trout has sucked the egg down its throat. I use an indicator and set the hook at the smallest movement but when I get them in the fly is so deep I can’t even see it. Any suggestions??? Thanks for any information!
Thank you. I'm a beginner as well and I'm learning as you are. I'm the guy who is being taught by Tad. He runs Georgia Wild Trout. We've got plenty of other fly fishing videos coming. But I will ask Tad about that problem. Feel free to email me at danny@fishnorthga.com to continue this discussion. Thanks again!! Danny
@@FishNorthGeorgia hey thanks for asking and I will get back with you soon by email. Those trout can be picky and sometimes complicated fish lol. Thank you!
I live in NE Ga and I don’t know of a stream like that one y’all are at. Is that near Blue Ridge?
This is at amicalola creek in Dawsonville. Near the edge of the world falls.
@@FishNorthGeorgia thank you! I’m only about an hour and a half from Dawsonville. I definitely need to get up there and check it out!
