Hey how much weight can you fit in the mdeium July checked in luggage? Can it fit 20kg for a 30 day trip ?
Yeah it definitely can. Your problem is more around space. I had small issues with fitting everything in but during South Korea and Japan, my suitcase was around 25kgs but I used vacuum bags from Daiso to shrink all my clothes haha.
tks review. Have you tried TRUNK? No zipper intrigues me.
Not yet! I'm not a fan of non zipper suitcases because if the lock / mechanism breaks, you're really screwed especially if you're overseas whilst with zippers, as long as one side still works, it's still manageable / or I can fix it with a sewing kit temporarily.
@@RichardFangLiu Do you put straps, or wrap in celiphane suitcase ? The zipper seems so vulnerable. Just TSA locks ?
@@BPe-ie9je If i feel like I'm going to overload my suitcase, I will bring straps. Otherwise the zippers on the July suitcase have been pretty solid (don't need a TSA lock because it's got it's own locking system)
Like usually you can kind tell if the zippers are not great etc. My Samsonite case was definitely not great and it did break after a few domestic uses.
However when I was in South Korea with my July one and packed a ton of shopping into it, it still held pretty firm. But yeah obviously it can still break (maybe I'm just lucky).
I purchased both the July Carry on and the carry on Trunk. They are both too heavy especially the trunk is HEAVY. The compression strap is not great, adds weight and YOU CAN'T REMOVE IT! Which is extremely annoying. Lining only comes in black which sucks for visibility of your items. The character is SLOW CHARGING therefore a paperweight
Yeah I'm not a fan of the July carry on. For me, the characteristics of a carry on vs checked in are vastly different.
No.1 rule for carry on is be light as possible. It's why I use the Samsonite Spinner - super light weight. I personally am not a fan of the 'tech' components of luggages so I usually don't care for them. Easy to roll around, light weight and plenty of space are my characteristics which is why I still stick to my Samsonite for carry on suitcases.
@@RichardFangLiu I just bought and returned the Samsonite ReSpark, super light at 2.4kgs, amazing softside case, gorgeous design, great bag, but the retractable handle was absolute garbage, wobbly, tinny, cheap and nasty and wouldn't even find it on a $50 bag, the wheels were horrible also, kept spinning itself around to face backside first. Broke my heart because it's THE best looking softside carry-on in 2023.
@@videowatch399 that sucks! I am on the lookout for a better carry on as although my Samsonite is light, it does have similar issues as you described. However in terms of carry ons, it's just the best out of what's in stock...need to do some research!
