I’ve seen Polaris like 10 times now, and every time I’m mesmerised by Dan and the energy he puts into drumming. He’s also the primary songwriter for the band which is amazing.
Out of every band I’ve seen live, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone put as much effort and enthusiasm into drumming as Dan does. Last time I saw them live I found myself smiling at how genuinely happy he looked to be doing what he was doing. Love this band, such genuine dudes.
KiLl3R Mem3StAR Nic is on another level, and northlane have been my favourite band since hollow existence. But he’s a lot more chill/groovy in his playing, not just all out stoke like the other dudes.
They are the best band of all time in my opinion. Their lyrics are genius, the instrumentals are genius, the atmosphere of the songs are genius. Polaris is perfect
Why doesn't Jamie normally sing? That Pre-Chorus line at 5:55 was amazingly clean and flat to the note, damn. Also 10:38. Perfect pitch minor third down harmonization at 12:34. 12:42. 22:22 26:55 !!!!!?? Don't mind me, I'm just here amazed by the fact that being him a scream singer, I had him very underrated. Wow. Ate my words. I mean, I can reach those highs but RIGHT after how hard he moves and screams? Nah.
He probably could, but thats a lot of strain on his vocal chords. I really like Jake's vocals too, its a nice little bit of rest for Jamie so he can continue to scream and run around and lose his fuckin mind for us
You can tell who has never heard of them before they start playing... by the end of "The Remedy" all their necks were hurting from headbanging so hard... lol

I was meant to see them again twice this year, but due to the pandemic I couldn’t, so thank you for this video 😊 I seriously recommend watching them live when you get the chance. Fucking incredible.
